Have M11X. It is great. But there is so many functions in it... It would be great if someone would share what features he is using mainly? What other neat features you have programed and are using? What is that feature for and what it does? Thank you!

When using a lipo tx pack, how do you monitor for low voltage? Is the radio's battery voltage monitor reliable enough for lipos? I know lipos can hit zero volts dangerously quick if you're not careful.
Or is a lipo alarm better? |

Or is a lipo alarm better? So IMO, lipo is no problem in the M11x. |

:) Hi everyone. I have been looking through but Im not too good on the forum yet. Will the M11X be able to use other receivers other than the 415? Many thanks to everyone in advance.

What servos use the HRS mode? I'm looking for one for my touring car, preferably low profile but doesn't have to be

Hi everyone,
I will be using M11X this season in Nitro onroad class, and wanted to know how long is the receiver antenna. How long do I need it on my car? Can I shorten it so it stays inside of the body? I will be running at big open tracks. I see that indoor Ep runners mostly shorten them to about 3-4cm, is it enough for outdoor tracks as well? Thanks! |

i run nitro off road ( mbx6), i have my antennae 100% enclosed in the radio box and easily have gone 300 feet with no problems ......

A couple of settings are only used when initially setting up a new vehicle, things like end points, fail safe, variable rate adjustment are used when 1st setting up a vehicle & then left as is. Probably the most important or at least most useful settings to get your head around are the expo, dual-rate, ABS (if you're on the dirt, not sure how useful it would be on-road), adjustable rate control & end points (but really everyone should know how to use end point adjustments coz it is available on just about every radio & is very important to have set correctly). I would suggest learning to use the expo 1st because that's the one setting that will make an obvious difference when using it & it is an extremely useful setting to be able to change. If you understand the graphs on the LCD & in the manual, you're half way there. Basically if you set the expo to a negative setting, you are making the initial steering (or throttle or brake, take your pick but steering expo is used the most), just off neutral a lot "softer" or in fact less responsive. If your vehicle is too twitchy & darty this would be a good place to try & rememdy that because negative expo will make it so that when you make a relatively large movement on the wheel, the servo horn movement is damped & less responsive to a point. Once you get past about 60%-70% of steering wheel travel, it gets much more responsive but that's not so much a problem because if you are turning the wheel that far you most likely want all the steering angle (on the wheels of the vehicle) you can get. Positive expo is, of course, just the opposite. The steering would be very twitchy & extremely responsive away from neutral & not so much towards the end of the steering wheel travel. It's a bit hard to explain accurately when I don't know if you understand the graphs or not. If you don't it makes things so much more difficult because the graph is actually telling you exactly what the servo will do in relation to the movements you make on the steering wheel. The "rising bars" (dunno what to call them) you can see on the expo setting page on the LCD, at the edges of the graph also go a long way to helping you know what the expo is doing & how it will affect things. Should probably stop now, this post is long enough. Hope I haven't confused you too much. |
