How can you use AA's? I can't find anything in the manual about it

For those M11x that does not come with a NIMH battery pack, it came with a plastic 6 cells battery tray instead for you to use normal AA NIMH or Alkaline cells. It is also vaguely mentioned in page 5 of the manual.

My M11x does not come with a battery pack but a battery tray instead, I used to use Sanyo eneloop but I have changed it to a 2S 2100mah LIPO pack.

Ok, I have just uploaded the manual here:

Will be on the server for 60 days and will be deleted there after, good luck!

Thanks ganymede. Much appreciated :).

Two questions:

1. Can you program a button to over ride dual rate on the m11x?
Example: You set dual rate to 50% then hold a button and while you are holding the button down, you have full dual rate.

2. Can you program two transmitters to one RX?

No and No.

RX451 + Tamiya TEU-101BK

Can I use this combo? The TEU 101 has an Output Voltage of 7.2V while the RX451 has an input voltage of 4.8V-6V. Or do I need a BEC? Thanks for any info.

M8 has a younger brother on the way. This one happens to be faster, stronger, and frankly better looking.

Super stoked about the M11x.

Just for the record. I was able to over ride dual rate with some c mix controls with my m11. So I'm sure it can be done with the m11x.

What is the appropriate LiFe battery to use in the M11x? I'm thinking a 3S while being careful not to discharge to below 9v.

I got mine yesterday. Its not light, but its not heavy enough for me to notice.

Menu system is easy to get the hang of. I am loving this radio so far

Yes! an External BEC will be required.

Lipo = 2S 7.4v

LiFe = 2S 6.6v

Don't use higher voltage, or you will damage your radio.

mthird 12-26-2010 12:16 PM

I prefer to run LiFe and thought I had read earlier in the thread about using it. The radio says it's capable of handling 6v to 11v ...

Anybody wanna sell me a m11x wall charger ?:confused:

mthird 12-26-2010 02:54 PM

According to the specs on Tower Hobbies the tx will only go down to 6.5v which leads me to believe a 2s LiFe would be a poor choice since you'll be skirting with the limit under any real current draw. The max is listed as 11v on the same site. Are these incorrect or outdated?
