no it does not regulate it down to 6v so you can only use an unregulated lipo pack with the new high voltage servos only everything else will need a regulator

Nitrobuggies 01-25-2010 06:47 PM

If you use an unregulated lipo pack it will send 7.4v to the servo. So only time you could use a Lipo battery unregulated is with one of the High Voltage servos (like the new ones from Sanwa or JR, Hitec, KO)

If it turns out the High Voltage sanwa servos will be quicker then i will go for them with an unregulated lipo. If the new Super Response servos are quicker then i will stick with nimh but all using the new 451R receiver

so i have just ordered the new m11x and at the moment i have 2 analog sanwa ERG-RZ servos and will be using a 7.4 volt lipo as my battery in my car. will i need to use a regulator?

jinxed 01-26-2010 05:44 AM

yes you will need a regulator

Toh WL 01-26-2010 06:51 AM

if u are concern on your Sanwa ERG-RZ servo's & Rx. I suggest you to use LiFe instead of LiPo battery which operates 6.6V than 7.4V.

jinxed 01-26-2010 07:27 AM

even 6.6v is too much for most Airtronics analog servos. It will usually burn them up.

I'm having both the M11 prestige edition & now the M11X. Is it me or I can't feel the difference?? felt the car steering response is the same... Do I need the new R version receiver to give that "WOWWW".. effect...???

Are you running digital servos in hrs mode?

mrbusta 01-27-2010 04:27 PM

hello

does the m11x rx take 2s rx lipo straight or do i need to use a regulator as i run the hitec 7955tg wich i beleive they are ok with that

Hopefully I will have the 451R & SSR Brushless servo in my car this weekend. Will be interesting to see if I can feel the difference over my 451 & Futaba Brushless servo.

Lipo for the M11x

I was thinking about getting this http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Balancer-Plug for my M11x. But, I heard someone say that the battery needs to be plugged in a specific way, unlike the NiCd pack. Is this true? If so does anyone know which way is correct?

but from various feedback from GP car owners. such config works fine...

as for myself i prefer to stay with 5 x 1.2V NiMH hump pack.

This is part of an e-mail I received directly from Airtronics.

3. HI VOLTAGE.
Everyone is asking about running on 2 Li-Po's direct. Here's the facts as
they stand at the moment. ONLY the new Hi-Voltage 94910 and 94911 servo
are rated for 2 cell lipo direct. The other servos, in some cases, may
"work", but the motor life will be decreased. Most will simply "fry".

So yes it might work but was safer to say will not so someone does not get mad if there servo "fries"
