With all the new(ish) generation 3 & generation 4 LiPo packs being released, does anyone know if it is still essential to always disconnect the battery plug from the transmitter whenever it's not being used, as was always the firm rule from years ago when LiPos first appeared on the market? Even in the past year or 2 this rule has often been stated but I've not seen it mentioned so much recently. Is that because the newer packs don't need to be disconnected or just because most people now know to disconnect, so it doesn't need to be said so often? Sure would be handy not having to disconnect the battery all the time.

A few actually, firstly it's just a royal pain in the arse (I'm an Aussie, you guys in the states would spell it 'ass' as in backside):p to have to unplug when done & plug in again before next use - isn't that why they invented the power switch? Next, I'm always worried about breaking the battery plug because the wires are so thin & my M11x plug socket is quite a tight fit so when I yank on the plug if I slip & pull on the wires by accident... The battery compartment cover is nice & sturdy & has a good locking mechanism now but with repeated open/close the 'tongue' thingy that holds the sliding plate closed (no idea what the name for that little tab at the end of the battery cover is called) it will obviously get worn & need replacing.

Using KO digital servos with 451R Receiver
FYI for those who plan on using digital KO Propo servos with the 451R receiver........
The servos won't work unless the Tx is set to NOR (as opposed to SHR) AND only once the TX/RX are re-bound AFTERWARDS!!!! I thought the Rx was busted, went through hundreds of iterations rebinding until I tried the procedure mentioned above.... Anybody else experience this with their digital servos? |

NOR mode will work with all digital servos. this receiver doesn't work with analogue servos at all if your using the normal 451 rx, then NOR mode will work with analogue servos and the SHR model is for digital servos only. hope that made sense. |

Folks, I used M11x today, feel good radio bit heavy thought
I used energizer chargeable 6 cells and approx after 60 minutes of use the battery died. I am planning to go to LIPO or NIMH would like at least 4 hours of charge on my race day, please can you recommend me a good battery for M11x I have to order online and do international shipment so please recommend things like charger and voltage converter if LIPO. Thanks in advance. http://www.ballisticbatteries.com/St...0&ProdTeaser=1 |

I use the Ballistics 2800 lipo, comes with its own charger and has its own low voltage cut off.

M11x can take 2S lipo pack and NOT 3S... |
Question. Wouldn't it be better to use "speed" option then expo to control servo speed?

Ah! I see. Sorry, confusing the two! My bad! :)

Unfortunately the only way to physically speed up the servo is to run higher voltage battery. On a positive note, running a LiFe battery will speed up the servos by approx 10% (without the risk of damage to either servo or rx) & a 2s LiFe is lighter than a normal NiMH pack. So a 0.10 speed servo would work as a 0.09. Not bad for free.

What receivers are compatible with the M11x? Are the 92744 and RC451r the only 2 that work? I'm looking for a few extras, and not sure what to look for. Several places are out of stock on the 92744.
