I need some honest feedback. Just got an x and I need battery help. I've got hitter 7955tg servos for both throttle and steering. Exactly what battery would you guys buy. Do i need a regulator. Has to be either life or lipo. Also need a tx lipo. So I need info on that as well. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the response. Now would that be for both the transmitter and receiver? What about the regulator? Got a link to any brand in particular??? I got money so what's the best packs out there?

Anybody looking to get rid of any receivers? I'm interested in the 92744 and 92451. If not, it looks like I'll be ordering from China...

You need a 2s lipo for the transmitter.

+1 thats what I use and while i have seen others that are less expensive ($20 or so) it works and lasts me 3 solid days of driving.

It's not silly..Some DONT fit, but this one does for the M11x..

I don't know how to remove the AA battery tray. My M11x came with a NI-Mh pack..it was plug and play.

killermmn 04-27-2011 05:53 PM

if plug a lipo pack, the reponse is ,yes you have to remove the battery tray

Rawz 04-27-2011 09:12 PM

Hey, mine dont have a "battery tray" also. Only a foam cut out that "lodge" the NIMH that came original. So, you work the lipo lodging with it. Works great, I got a Protek also.

Sorry if this one is answered back in this thread, but, is it safe to use lipo receiver without a regulator, with the receiver that is shipped with the M11X?

It's not the rx you need to worry about - just about any rx will happily run on 7.4V or higher... It's the servos that will take a beating & possibly die from running over 6.0V (the motors & mosfet amplifiers will perhaps have a much shorter lifespan). But as far as the rx is concerned, the M11x manual says the RX-451 is ok with 4.8V-6.0V. There's really not all much to go wrong with the rx & I know of many people using all sorts of different brand rx with 7.4V LiPo. Just make sure you have servos rated for 7.4V or be prepared with a spare or 2 just in case the inevitable happens right before the big race.

SHR mode for Savox and Hitec servos

Can I set SHR mode when using Savox or Hitec servos. I know somebody posted that the KO servos will only work in NOR mode. Does the same apply for other servos?

Thanks.

As long as they're digital you'll be fine. My digital Futabas and Orions work fine in SHR.
