With the 451 though, all servos can use the high speed mode.

Of course, I am referring to digital servos only but anyone who spends the dough on a new M11x surely ain't gonna be running ancient analogue servos & if they try they deserve to have their new M11x, their new 451/R & their vehicle all spontaneously combust & then be put down (that's the moron being put down, just like the sick puppy he must be).:p:blush::D

Just to share with you all. I have both the Sanwa M11x with the RX451R and the Sanwa MT-4. When binded in the SHR mode, both the Sanwa M11X and MT-4 works with the Tahmazo TS-D6051 servo. However, my Savox 1267SG servo only works with the Sanwa MT-4 transmitter in the SHR mode and not the Sanwa M11X transmitter. I can't tell the difference in servo response although the Sanwa M11X was binded in NOR mode compare to the Sanwa MT-4 in SHR mode.

Same goes to my LRP Ultimo esc. Although, the Sanwa M11X is binded in NOR mode, the throttle response from the M11X is relatively smoother and more accurate than the MT-4 which was binded in SHR mode.

As for the Hobbywing Ezyrun V2 ESC, both the Sanwa M11X and Sanwa MT-4 works when binded to the RX-451R. The Sanwa M11X actually made the 'feel' of this sensorless set up as if it is a sensored combo. The same can't be said for the MT-4.

Having the experience of upgrading from the Sanwa MX-3FG to the MT-4 and the M11X, all I can say there is a huge accuracy difference between the MX3 and the M11X where the MT-4 is somewhere in the middle. Hope, this helps those who are in the decision to get a new radio soon.

If you're not into some serious competition, I think the MT-4 does a very decent job and it is much lighter and more ergonomic than the M11X. However, the biggest shortcoming of the MT-4 is that it has no backlighting and traction control if you are keen to race at night and into touring RC.

Just reading through the last few pages about Dual Rate vs EPA. First, set Dual Rate to 100%. Then adjust your EPA down just to where the steering servo does not bind left and right (Usually 70% left and right, for example). Now you can leave your EPA alone. You don't have to mess with EPA ever again unless if you move your arms forward or back or shorten or lengthen steering rods, etc., etc.. That now means 100% Dual Rate equals 100% steering throw without binding. If your car over steers, use your thumb knob to turn down your Dual Rate to 90%. Now you have 90% steering throw to the left and right. See if this corrects your over-steering problem. If not, try going down to 80% Dual Rate (which equals 80% steering left and right). If not, do a setup change on the car. It's pretty normal for people to setup their car with 90% steering throw (90% Dual Rate). Then they can go to 100% steering throw (100% Dual Rate) if they need a tad more steering, or dial it down (Via the thumb knob) to 80% steering throw (80% Dual Rate) if they need a tad less steering. This is the proper way to setup the cars Dual Rate and EPA. Of course, if you accidentally turn up your Dual Rate to 125%, you are going to bind up your servo.

A lot of people also have a panic button programed on their radios. They setup the car normally. Dual Rate 100% then EPA adjustment. They then turn down the Dual Rate to say.... 40% and setup the car from there. This means the steering will only have 40%. The wheel turns less, but this also means less binding in the turns. However, if they wreck, the car may not be able to turn around because the car only has 40% steering. They push the panic button which gives them 100% Dual Rate (100% Steering Throw). This lets them temporarily turn the car around at 100% steering until they release the button. And blah blah blah...

Hope this helps settle the confusion/debate.

Mothership

What's the "mothership" of radios for RC Buggies etc? I use Futaba for my Planes/Heli's. Are the radios with Telemetry becoming popular/have an advantage? What would you guys get if you could only have one radio and you could get any one out there?

You posted this in a thread titled M11x, what kind of response do you think you will get?

Personally I just picked up a used M11 with the 2.4 modul and printed off a 50 page PDF instruction manual. I think I figured out how to set my name last night LOL!

J/K. Ive been RC for awhile and this is my first Airtronics. There are features on these radios that Ive never seen befor. The thing has built in lap timers, 30 model memory, TRACTION CONTROL, ANTI LOCK brakes (nitro cars) and so much more. Basically with the M11 you only need 1 radio for everything surface.

Eh.. Never know. There might be somebody who just got one and is having issues with programming or doesn't like a feature or trying to figure it out. Or someone who bought it.. Used it a while, but likes a features of another radio he's seen some people use at the track. Woo hoo!

Let my put it this way: Here in Denmark, you can find plenty of Futaba's, Spektrum's and the like, for sale (used), but very rarely M11x's. The few M11x's being put up for sale, are gone within an hour.

I have experienced several drivers jumping between radios to try something new, but they almost always stop at M11x.

I was a lucky man , my M11x was 2nd hand from a friend in Poland and it was about the same price as a new one but with 2 recievers and it had been used for 1.5 hrs.

I will never move rfrom the M11x until a new one comes out LOL

Mines not the X, but Im coming from the original Futaba Magnum AM. Yes you read that right, AM. Its 20 years old and still worked well. Just got tired of people asking me what it was lol!

The M11 has some big shoes to fill in my eyes, but all the features look like fun. Going out to practice with it for the first time tonight. Cant wait!

I looked at a lot of radios and personally would only buy Futaba and Airtronics since they have been around forever. Everybody raves about the Spectrums, but the just look and feel cheap to me.

Hi everyone
What should the screen look like when you have set up and
are ready to race
Sorry if this sounds silly (its my first top end radio)

Has anyone had any difficulty fitting a 94931 servo to a chassis? I tried mine out on my son's SC10 and the steering arm rubbed it pretty good. (I had to use the thin servo mount spacer in the SC10 kit.)

I'm hoping to get my M11x set up soon. Saving up for the radio took me a while. I got the 92451/94931 with it.

Hey guys, Anyone running a 7.4 lipo receiver pack in the nitro vehicles without the regulator. Just wondering if the receiver can handle the voltage, thanks!!

The Rx can handle LiPo without a regulator.

im in the market for a new radio now... and im kinda confused on which one to buy... i race touring cars in 13.5... not as serious as i want to be (cant afford it) i really like the m11x but is the mt4 a better choice? since this is cheaper, newer model, same speed? i dont know if ill be needing the traction control though of the m11x... what are the other pro/cons of choosing either? (will post this also on the m11x thread) your help is very much appreciated

For TC, get the M11x if you can afford it. It is better than MT4. For 1/8 buggies and such the MT4 is fine, but for something as sensitive as TC, I would only ever use the M11x.
