Import duty?? On a single battery worth a measly $20? That's just ridiculous. I thought our import laws were rather harsh, but at least we only have to pay import duty on items worth more than AUD$1000. My sister has been living in Dundee, Scotland for the past 11 or 12 years and she's never mentioned that before but I suppose it's not as if we often (ever?) talk about such interesting and exciting topics.:p But you're right, that really does suck. How much would the tax be on something of $20 value, just curious?

Now you got me going;)
Scotland they might as well have there own parliment they dont pay student fees,
parking at hospitals,perscription charges.
Those are the well known ones.
But us in england we pay the blinking lot.
Now say i make an order through some one like rc mushroom,it arrives at one of our airports and if its not a gift from a relative etc i pay a fee.
The fee and time it takes to clear are customs are so random only god knows
the rules.

My mate bought £28.50's worth of drill bits for work and paid a duty of
£20 yes allmost the same amount again.
Over seas shops will not package anything with gift on.
Its a big con!!

Here you go mate, straight from the horse's mouth (I emailed Airtronics Support):

Hello,

That port is used by the factory to setup the firmware, it is not for use by the end user.

Hey Chris, I only just clicked on the link you pasted in and that battery will not work with the M11x unless you wanna take your time to modify it. Firstly, it's 2200mAh, the one you want is 2300mAh. Next, it has a silly red 2-pin plug which won't fit into the battery socket on M11x. Has to be 3-pin because even though it matter not which orientation you plug it in, the red 2-pin plug physically won't fit. Finally, that pack just looks plain wierd. It's got some strange box on it's arse and looks somehow outta shape or the wrong dimensions. The 2300mAh is somewhat different shape I think perhaps a little shorter and wider.

I just checked and they almost have what you need. This is the exact same battery except that it's 3s/11.1V and you need the 2s/7.4V version. http://demonpowerproducts.co.uk/prod...oducts_id=5039 Ask them to get it in for you. If they have those other 2 then one would imagine they could just as easily order the correct 2300/7.4V version from their distributor/supplier.

Well this sucks. I just bought a 3s from Amain because it said M11. I just assumed it would work for the M11X too. Damn!

That's a bummer chance, good thing they have a solid return policy! Lipos are amazing in these though. I have the 2s protek, been running it 5 or 6 race/practice days on the first charge. That's ruining 2-3 classes!

Xpress 10-11-2011 01:52 PM

Hello,

The M11X has been out for quite a while. Does anybody know if a new radio is in the works?

It pays to read the manual. Literally! ;)

I got an IP 2300 from rcmart for about $22. Had it in 3 days from when I ordered. I can usually go a month or so between charges racing every weekend running 2 classes and lots of practice time.

TheCoolCanFanMan 10-12-2011 09:42 AM

Anyone know where I can get a dedicated radio case/bag for the M11X

Cheers Malc

Just google for SpeedMind M11x and you should find them available on ebay, from many of the Hong Kong shops and probably A-Main and many others too. The SpeedMind is definitely the best M11x case when price is taken into account as they are not very expensive, yet offer awesome protection, look quite ok and is light weight for carrying.

LOL. There is... It's called SpeedMind M11x case. :p:ha::rolleyes: It is dedicated as the foam is cut so well that even when I changed to a tiny little 30mm antenna, which folds down in a very slightly different place to the long standard antenna, I had to reshape and cut away some of the foam in the SpeedMind case as it fits so perfectly.

So for sure, it is 100% definitely a custom shaped case specifically for the M11x.
