Hi I am about to purchase a Sanwa M11X and was wondering if the KO Spectrum receivers will work with this handset?

Cheers Malc

are there any other receivers out there that will work with the M11X other than the one that comes with the kit?

Cheers Malc

Both the RX451 and RX451R receivers are compatible with the M11x. The RX461 might also work with the M11x but I'm not 100% sure about that one.

m11x ssr

HI: I just bought a M11x with 451r receiver. I am wondering if I should get sanwa sgr-bl for touring and srg-hr for 1/12. Right now my futaba 9551 , ko 949 and savo 1357 and team wave rb-s can't use the ssr mode.(havn't try my tekin yet but lrp sxx works) should I change my equipment for better response. or buy super fast servo and use normal mode??? what's the feel when use ssr mode on servo and ESC when compare to normal mode?

Thinking of getting this radio I really like the variable steering adjustment is it a nice feature to have an make it easier to steer just wondering if people like that feature

It's an absolute wank, not worth anything IMHO. Servos these days are so incredibly fast, especially with Life/LiPo, so there is absolutely no need for anything even faster, especially if running some crazy sub 0.07s servo. I went the other way, heaps slower and gained much better control and accuracy.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Do you mean the Variable Rate Adjustment feature? Never heard of anyone actually using it, but would be interested to hear anyone's experience using it/reasons why.

I think it would help by makin transitions between turns quicker I seen maifeild on sum of his videos an he hardly even moves his hand when steering

aaron125 10-31-2011 06:37 AM

Ahh, exactly why I was after people's experiences, because just about everything, when done at a world-class level, from playing a bass guitar/any stringed instrument to racing a motocross bike (just 2 things I know very well:lol::nod:) appear to have a great deal of minimisation of movement. In my experience, this is because of 3 important factors: 1) years and years of perfect practice (practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect) and 2) actually training oneself to waste no effort, no movement that is not necessary to perform the task at hand. 3) muscle memory makes a huge difference.

Not to mention, he is a world champ, so a decent amount of whatever he does isn't really going to apply to mere mortals like us (me).

brandon1990 10-31-2011 06:59 AM

Ya maifeild is a world champion no doubt he is one of the best but if you can get full steering in half of what your use to using that adjustment in theory it should be faster or make it seem faster cause the steering throw is shorter

brandon1990 10-31-2011 07:02 AM

I am also wanting the experiences of the m11x owners of that feature cause I myself is no where near a would champ I'm just a average rc hobbyist

But how often does theory agree with the real world? Logic would dictate that if a faster engine makes a car go faster, surely a faster servo would make it steer faster, right? In reality, it often makes the car worse as it is just too sensitive and twitchy, similar thing would definitely occur with the Variable Rate Adjustment if removing steering wheel travel.

The need for real world experience is key here, feedback from normal drivers who have actually tried this adjustment, not theory or those of world class standard. Again, just my opinion.

It says on you signature that you have a m11x why don't you try it one way an try it the other an see if it suits your driving style

I've no need at all for anything faster in the steering dept. I went from a 0.08s servo to a 0.14s one and gained heaps more control and accuracy, so I have no use for anything faster. I still use -Expo very often even with the slower servo.:p:tire:

That's suits your driving style some people might like it an might not I'm like you would like to know what other people think

I brought one of these lipo battery for the controller, anyone use the same battery or similar??

Comes with no instructions and i never recharged a lipo before or let alone with a balancer pins. :(

What volts to charge at? and is it simple as selecting lipo on the charger and hook up the 3pin then hook up balancer pin to the charger balance port?
