I know this is an M11X thread but Im just curious what everyone thinks of the 4PKS? I have never held one but they do look interesting. Any thoughts? of how much difference there is in the M11X and the M8? I wouldnt mind seeing an M11X like the limited edition M8 with the blue led and black chrome knobs, etc. That was a good radio!

M11x has always had a blue LCD backlight, as does the M11. Backlight colour can be selected from blue, white or no backlight.

cool Beans!
I did not know that. I was just thinking about the special edition M8 where everything was blacked out. That was a cool radio. Hopefully they have a special edition with some funky unnecessary stuff. ;)

I have a 4PKS and a M11. I like both alot, both feel "different" in my hand. The 4PKS feels a lot lighter & better balanced than the M11, but I still like the M11. I'm not sure I'd upgrade to the M11X though. The software upgrade / change isn't enough for me to rush out and upgrade. I also have a KO Helios and the same applies - I don't feel a burning need to upgrade to the Eurus. |

The M11x is far better balanced and lighter than the M11, so that is not even an excuse anymore
Just pop a LiPo into a M11 and it will feel 100 times lighter and better balanced ;) |
M11X high response compatibility with Tekin RS Pro?
Would anyone happen to know whether the high response feature of the M11X (with 451R receiver) can be used with the Tekin RS Pro ESC?
If not, what ESC's are compatible? Thx in advance...! |
A better question might be 'does anyone know if the high response feature of the M11X (with 451R receiver) actually does something or if it's just a load of advertising bull?':p:blush:
The M11x/451(R) combo is incredibly fast, actually the fastest response time out of all of the big-name top of the range tx/rx combos. If you're interested in the M11x, I'd simply recommend, grab it. There's no way anyone could say that the M11x has slow or average response, it's just about instant. Just try one out for a few laps at the track if you can, to see if you like the weight/feel and if the size of your hands matches the controller to be comfortable. If it suits, you can't go wrong. |
Any one tried setting reverse yet?
I put the receiver into my losi xxl monster truck and i set the trim3 button to move the ch3 (aux3 servo) from 0 to -100. Takes bit of time holding the trim down to reverse or forward. There must be a quick way to hit trim and have it go back and forth instantly. |
Do you mean just servo reversing? If so, I use it for my throttle/brake servo and works perfectly, exactly as it should. Why do you ask?
Regarding how long it takes to go from one end of the trim adjustment range to the other, you can change the trim 'unit' as in, how much each click changes the trim. It is set to 1 unit by default but if you wanted to speed it up, you could set it to 10 units but you lose a great deal of accuracy, of course, as you won't be able to set the trim to exactly where you want it - only to the nearest multiple of 10. But it would definitely cut down how long it takes to get from one end of the adjustment range to the other. |
Lipo????
I Have an older 2s 1500mah 25c batt. can I run that "c" rate in my M11x?
|
From my understanding, C ratings are only ever concerned with the maximum current draw, not minimum. So theoretically, you could use an 8C pack, a 80C pack or even a 250C pack and it really shouldn't make any difference as the TX draws absolutely nowhere near those numbers, and definitely not 25C, so I would say you should have no problems at all.
AFAIK, the only reason most, if not all TX packs are marketed as being about 8C or less is that the batteries that have such a low C rating are much cheaper to produce, therefore the entire battery pack will also be less expensive to make and also sell/buy. There is definitely nothing at all mentioned anywhere in the instruction manual concerning current draw or battery pack C rating for the TX, so I'm guessing it is so low as to be a non-issue. |
Don't know if this was ever confirmed, but can the RX451R safely use a 7.4V/2s LiPo? Just got my RX451R last week and now have a 7954 servo, which is made for 7.4V, but the box for the RX says only use 4.8-6.0V, yet the instructions that came inside the box says up to 7.4V is ok?? WTF??:weird: Just more of the same, like the instruction manual for the M11x, contradictions and ambiguity abound. How is anyone to know which is correct and what is safe?
I'm gonna email Airtronics directly, but until then, anyone know 100% for sure if 7.4V is ok with the RX451R?:( Thanks. |
I have been using both those airtronics receivers for a couple years no issues running 7.4v.

LiFe batt
new owner of m11x. the manual says it can take 2s LiFe but still want to make sure since LiFe just barely makes the minimum power requirement of 6.5v(LiFe is 6.6v). any issue using LiFe in M11x? wondering if this will fit as well.
