Thanks!

The alarm kicks in at 6.6V and the transmitter shuts down at 6.5V. I don't LiFe will work because the transmitter will shut down too early. I'd go with a lipo.

Yes that's perfect. I have a 2S 2300mah 15C lipo in my transmitter for over a year and it's just perfect.

Am I the only person that likes the weight of the M11X?
One of the main reasons i bought the radio is because it
is so heavy. Been running the stock TX pack it came with.

Thats basically my concern. I will keep looking for lipo then. Thanks

Peeps go with lipo for longer runtime and fast charging.

I've never seen anything in my manual regarding using a LiFe battery, either for the Tx or Rx. Are you sure it said LiFe, not LiPo? As you mentioned, the voltage is way too low, you definitely wouldn't be able to use a 2s LiFe with the M11x. For sure, you need to grab a 2s LiPo and you'll have no probs whatsoever, but stay away from LiFe in the Tx. I use LiFe with my Rx though, no worries there.
...........................

Got a reply from Airtronics Tech Support a few days back about my question regarding using 2s LiPo with the RX451R and the tech support guy said that all FHSS-3 rx's are safe to use up to 2s LiPo batteries, regardless of what it might say on the box (my box has 4.8-6.0V written on the side, but instruction manual inside the box says 4.8-7.4V). He said specifically that both the RX451 and RX451R are safe to use with a 7.4V/2s LiPo and also any other FHSS-3 receivers as well.

I have like 86 + hours of run time on my radio with four one hour charges at 1.0 amps.

Servo's/Receivers...

So, I have bought my new M11X and it's on the way but I am having a hard time figuring out the receiver and servo combo... I purchased the following:

Airtronics 2.4 Ghz FHSS-3 4 Channel SSR Receiver (M11X) (AIR92451)

and

Airtronics 94950 SRG-CR S.S.R. Coreless Digital "Speed" Servo (AIR94950)

I am moving from Spektrum where I had their receiver's & servo's (6040 & 6090)...

When I go to Airtronics website, and search the AIR92451 I bought off Amainhobbies, it doesn't even show up. I want to make sure I am buying the best receiver and servo. I run 2wd and 4wd SC trucks, Stadium trucks and 1/10th buggy's...

Did I buy the wrong stuff? What would you recommend as far as is the best receiver and servo to go in all my vehicles for my new M11x coming?

Thanks... :D

The 92744 is what comes with the M11X and what works best with it. The one you bought is even better. The one you bought has better latency times then the 92744.

Your good!!

Thank You... That helps my feelings... I know with Spektrum, I installed a Spektrum Voltage Protector in each vehicle... Is this still recommended with Airtronics? If so, use the same ones I have or does Airtronics have their own?

I am putting allot of money in this move from Spektrum to Airtronics and I just want to make sure I am doing it right...

I love Airtronics and just replaced my RX451 with an RX451R receiver, but I wouldn't recommend and don't run their servos. IMHO they are WAY too expensive for what little performance they provide. I don't see them lasting any longer than other high-end servos and just cannot understand why they are so over-priced.:(

As you can see from my sig, I run Hitec servos and would recommend either Hitec or KO Propo RSx servos. As for your receiver, the RX451R/M11x combo is the fastest on the market and no other brand tx/rx comes close. Actually, the next fastest, I'm pretty sure, is the RX451 (92744), so either way you can't go wrong. Just get some different servos.:p:nod::lol:

Again, thanks for the great info. You are right that they are expensive. Are they as good as the others you recommended, but more expensive? Or, just not as good and cost more?

Here you go mate: Airtronics RX451R M11X SSR FHSS-3 Receiver (92451) http://www.airtronics.net/index.php/...or-ssr-sx.html Oh ye, and the whole SSR thing is just a load of crap.:nod: No one I've spoken with or heard about has ever noticed any difference whatsoever, SSR or no SSR.

Well, IMHO, I believe that Airtronics servos are both overpriced and not as good as other brands. Either their servos are spec'd as having (for a high-torque model) a lower torque value/higher transit time or (for high-speed servo) either not as fast as other brands or not as fast and not as much torque.:(

With the crazy numbers we see on current model Hitec, KO and Savox servos, just to name a few, it seems as if Airtronics is living in the past, nothing really to compete with the top of the range from the other brands I mention. And it isn't as if Airtronics build their servos like a tank or extremely tough, as in way more so than other brands, in fact, when you consider that KO (and JR and and others) offers servos with the entire case made from alloy and no plastic, one wonders why Airtronics/Sanwa aren't really keeping up with the rest of the market. Construction, torque, transit speeds, value, whatever - take your pick, they're all generally lower than the competition and much more expensive.

Just my 2cents worth.:p

Do you recommend: Hitec HS-7940TH HV Digital HS Titanium Coreless 2BB or Hitec HS-7945TH?
