Rest assured it will be worth the experience . Tamiya is always making things better for us suckers.. I mean racers to upgrade to. As I'm sure the new kit will reflect the rules change in both Mini and F1. They played us for fools to get the 15th anniversary just before the F104 is to be released. The new car looks very tunable and more like a real "12th scale" R/C. Question is will they include that Tamiya "spec." brushless motor and speedo to complete the package. At least I do not feel bad about the $235 sticker on it now that I know the tires are $70 a set.

Just talked to Fred this morning...the M05 will be legal for mini racing. It has the exact same gearbox as the M03.

It was a good weekend...lots of wrenching. In the end all of our cars came to us in the mains. Actually...Jims car was on the whole time in GT3. And doc Hickman and I had a great battle in GT2. Tim put on a hell of a show. Anybody who didn't make it out to Hobbyplex really missed out. That place is a class A world class facility!
It was great meeting Fred. We spoke a lot of the future of TCS...and all I can say is it's gonna be very cool! Time to get the M05!!

Wow.
Fremont's in a week and this thread is on the second page?!?!?!?!?
On the 'other' forum there's a total of one post about the event.
What's up with all this- are people out there still racing?

This just in:
Robbie Dodge, Race Director for the TCS event in Glen Burnie, MD on July 26th, has just announced that there will be NO RPM LIMIT on motors in any Silver Can class at their event.
Let it rip, gentlemen!

So I'm wondering when Tamiya is going to slip us a Micky and tell us that we need to be using their new spec. Brushless system ?
the sky is falling.
