Yesterday I cut apart 5 used up sets of the newer S-Grip spec tires to salvage the foams for future use. None of the foam ends were glued together. I don't know if this is common knowledge...

Will there be a contingency when a control tire gets a flat spot/air gap?

What was the motor temp with the R1 moving the motor to the 20 mark. I love mine but have run it much higher

Mine came off at 110-115. Timing was at 20. I answered for Orlando cause we set ours the same.

Yeah... That's about the same temps I was measuring.

On the subject of mini foams. I've assembled them in the past with the included 'insert tape' never had a real issue. I guess when you are doing hundreds at a time a few may slip thru speedily.

With all this talk and worry about rule bending and charging you would think there's a trip to Japan on the line. Oh wait....

See you guys in a few weeks. Coming down for some fun as always at Tamiya and see some old friends. 20th Anniversary wow, I think I started somewhere around the 3rd or 4th.

My understanding is that they don't glue the foam ends together!
Contingency? Well, I suggested each racer in the mini class build their own tires on Friday, the day before the race. That was my suggestion to Fred, but no decision has been made.
Fred does read these posts so if you have a concern, post it and that may guide him on what can be done for the race.

As for B3's in Gt-1 and Gt-2 I'm also suggesting buggy grip, tire glue and tools to trim the center seam on the tires if you so desire in the tech area, again on Friday before the race. That way it won't create delays on race weekend.
Just my 2$

Thanks for the reply Max!

This issue should be 'officially' addressed...

Default Tire Sauce for NATS

My opinion on tire sauce for NATS is Paragon FXII. It works better than Buggy grip. It's less affected by track temp and the fumes are FAR less overpowering then buggy grip.

Hey guys just want to double check about the official ruling for the "c" rating at he weekends TCS race at Jackson? Is there a limit or not? The rule book posted on the Tamiya Website does not indicate any limit? But I know John was discussing a limit with Fred. Just went back 5 pages and could not find an official post. Thanks and can't wait for Jackson.
