Panda,
You do not use a new set of sticker F1 tires every run?
You know the degradation of these F1 tires!
Watch out for the "Clag Field Off Line"
Just like the Pirelli F1 tires they go off after 5 laps then come back?
Remember how do you make a small fortune in F1 you start with a large one!
I hope we do not go to these spec tire rules like sedan?

In hindsight, our decision to switch from Renault to Mercedes power in 2014 was a wise choice and allowed us to log many miles in preseason testing. Through our data, we have come up with a comfortable but quick set-up on the harder prime tires. This has allowed us to get surprisingly good tire wear with only minor graining issues on the right front.
We will be participating in the FIA approved in season Pirelli tire tests (some call it the Speedtech GCR 8) to further test the softer option tires. If rumor is correct and Fred Ecclestone does later announce mandatory pit stops and the requirement to use both the prime and soft tires during each main race at the nationals, the data on the softer options at the Pirrelli tire test could be invaluable.

In my trips out there I have found if your car is working on used/broken in tires you really don't need more than a couple sets. I tried new tires but unless your car is working on brand new tires your car may be bananas until the tires have several runs. Pit tires last a long time in general. Mostly used tires will get greasy at the end of a run if they are too used up.
Figure out which way you want to go and either break in sets of tires or get your car working on freshies.

1/12 GT at RC Madness TCS
We are going to run the RM-01 class at the RC Madness TCS race on May 10th, what's a good place to start with gearing, the last time I raced 12th scale was with 4 cell packs and brushed motors.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Fred,
for the TQ race, is it ok for mini to use any tamiya tires or does it have to be the premounts?
thanks...
