Not even a gallon on it yet and it continues to get faster and faster every time I run it!
The A5 is "hands down" the best "budget" engine i have ran. I have an older one that I run in my buggy (it is a bit under powered for Truggy IMO) it is just keeps producing. The last two times I have run it at the big Amain track in Chico, not one other motor (i.e. OS, FX, Nova, etc) can pull it! My favorite is the D52, but until I get another of those, the A5 has just been nails!!

It will continue to get better for you! Enjoy.

My A5 got me to the A main for the Midwest Nitro Series this past weekend at Clark RC. Started 7th,had the lead for half of the race. Lost it on a pit road wreck but kept the pace and finished a solid 2nd. The motor was great all weekend. Getting 7 minutes with half a tank left(warmup+qual). I have a 7mm insert and that I believe helped bump up the fuel mileage.

Not even a gallon on the motor yet and it runs great but do these motors have that point where they change and open up? I know the last 2 motors I had(not argus),after a gallon or so,they wake up and I had to retune them? Someone joked that with most motors, they reach the point around a gallon when 'their balls drop' and they reach their full potential.

Yes she will run rich once it drop it nut. My .23 that was lapped had did that in mid race on me around the gallon mark. So if it was not lapped it might take just a little longer.. nice place over at clarks not an easy place to run at with the locals there. They are pretty quick ant they. I think that is the nicest track I ever been to.

They had 104 just for their points series. They and Gary were shocked at the turnout. Over 180 which was great. Heading for home around 4am was great too LOL.

Mine was lapped so I'll be watching for that change to happen. The last time it happened to me was during a qualifier. Major change and ruined that round for me lol.

I am slowly building a dealer network, the best place to buy right now is my site that Danny posted www.rw-mods.com
I am looking for hobby shops to carry Argus engines, I will give a gift certificate to anyone that gets their local Hobby Shop to carry Argus engines.

Great job! I see Rw had maybe 4 engines in the Pro buggy main at the Mwns at Clark. Depends on which engines they had in, I know Zac has 2 D52 with a fuel mileage mod so he for sure had that in.

Its great because the A5 shows that you don't need to spend $400 on a motor to get power. I was keeping pace with OS Speed and Red's motors which is great. I have a 2099 pipe hooked up but I plan to order a 0801 pipe this Friday on payday.

So what you are saying is that you can drive 14 minutes on a tank in race tempo? I find that hard to believe if you dont run a truggy tank in your buggy.
