Not really. Its just a older filter and thats the outer cover. I had it laying around and cant use the stock one for the car with the body I am running(clearance issue). It'll be changed for this weekend tho.

Had the truggy back out today! Got 30min or solid practice on it, finally got it back to a good race tune. I decided to test my run time, I can make 10 on a tank, but I better be hitting pit lane right at 10 min, lol, nit much room for error there, but its nice to know my limit!

I find that in racing though my time go down a little. I would say 9 minutes to be safe. it funny how you say the same thing i do on the ten minute mark. you have to be balls on driving and hope to make pit lane or the finish line. i have just coasted across with a dead engine many times. then there been a time or two did not make but came around the turn to run out of gas just before my straight. I am thinking a 7 mm reducer might help. So as soon i do a couple of thing today i'm gonna get a hold of them. I have a 7 but it being used right now.

My new Argus A5 motor powered me to 4th at the Prairieland Shootout at Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet,Il this weekend. Still a tad rich on the bottom but once it gets past that, the motor has more then enough power to keep up with or put me in front of others running motors like OS Speed for example.

Not even a gallon on it yet and it continues to get faster and faster every time I run it!

I was thinking the same thing! A reducer might be the right way to go. Motor has more than enough power, id like to try it with a reducer some time.

My Argus D52 motor got me a 2 in the B main and a bump to the A main and a 8th place finish in the Prairieland Shootout at Leisure Hours Raceway in Joliet,Il this weekend. Had some more electical problems in the A main transponder didnt read all my laps and when i looked at the sheet if i do my math right i should have finished 5 or 6. Was a good outing for Argus motor 3 in the A main. Great job Rex on some great motors.

Yes, Nova, Os, Go, Rb, and quite a few fit. I am not sure why they just come with an 8mm.

Wow a 6.5 how did that turn out. I thinking of a 7 or 7.5 might be the ticket for me. Gonna pull it out of another engine that I have for my next point series race on the 22 second of this month.

I just put in a 7 from my old GRP Ninja. It's just a hair shorter then stock so will that effect anything?

I have the Midwest Nitro race up at Clark RC in Wisconsin this weekend.

Or boy I just sold my old grp. Like 3 weeks ago. I would think as long as it seal tight you will be fine. That is the most important part there. Do have any other reducers say like alpha they seem to be a good match. If not rex does have a set I am sure. Look up rwmods if you dont know him yet.

I'll be up there for that race too! I'll be interested to see how that works out for you! I've been considering running a reducer for quiet some time now.

The other A5 driver is Kevin. He will be putting in one from a Alpha although I dont remember the size right now. I plan to be there midday Friday and he should be there later in the evening.
