Argus USA Engines Thread
#151
Finally got some more fuel on the Argus. In practice, I was still getting over 11 mins easily. Very good day for the four Argus engines that were present. Rain put a hold on mains. We finished up with a 2nd in Pro buggy, 3rd in Pro Truggy, and a 2nd and 3rd in Open buggy.
We had four engines with three different pipes. I think the worst on fuel was a works pipe (not sure the #) and it still got over 8:30 with a lot of power. I still think they 801 is going to be the best overall pipe, but I think we will find different pipes for different needs. JJenkins was running the 2075 (I think). His, like at the last race, seemed a little less snappy on bottom, but still had good overall power.
Each motor now has anywhere from 1 gallon up to five gallons and have not had the first issue with any. I know several are getting ready to do the first round of orders (or have already). We will keep you posted until then, we hope to run again next weekend.

Argus Engines would like to welcome DJ Hepler as a Team Driver. DJ's current sponsors include Hot Bodies, Tekin, AtoZrc.net, Airtronics, Torco Fuel, and now Argus Engines. DJ had a great 2010 season and Argus Engines looks forward to the upcoming 2011 season. On DJ's first race with the A52 he took home a solid 2nd place finish in Pro Buggy!!!

Congrats Dj and good luck in the 2011 racing season! Look forward to seeing everyone for 2011, going to be an exciting year for the area. DJ is definatly considered a "keep an eye on guy" at the track on all given race days.

Got a little over 8:30 on his first trial last weekend...but that was with his pipe and cannot remember what he was using. Hes got something different to try this weekend that I think he will love.
I got approx 11:30 with the 801 in practice. Never timed it in race, but I would guess well over 10. JJ was around 9:30 with the SH pipe.
