Well I painted up some new bodies for my Serpent Buggy & Truggy and thought it would be a good idea to use alot of RED to help explain why these clocked novarossi engines are so dam fast because we all know red makes a car go faster ;)

Frank having driven both the clocked o.s speed & clocked novarossi banito they are both real smooth engines but the purple beast just gets there faster and the rev range lasts longer too, enjoy

Thursday night my P5 dropped its nuts during practice and I was able to finally put a good race tune on it. As impressive as it was running while still rich and tight, its a whole different animal when she's ready to rock! My clutch set up was perfect for the high bite track I was running on and with the race tune my Run times went from 9 minutes a tank to over 11! This is by far my favorite engine to ever come from CRE and I have had 5 different ones over the last 2 years. It has incredible bottom end that does need some taming in a buggy, with a smooth steady mid range and a top end that will pull until you run out of track. I went up 1 tooth on my clutch bell for more tractable power. Very easy to tune, very stable idle and this engine gives you everything you need and then some. For a buggy it does need to have a tuned clutch, but once you get it right hold on to your hats! Novarossi Quality with an Alpha price range, this is the complete package guys!

Very nice James. What pipe and glowplug?

Jaz240 02-04-2012 04:39 PM

2058 pipe with standard manifold and Werks #5 plug. I really like how well the Werks plugs work with Nova engines. They last just as long, they work great and they are almost half the price.

I will back that 100%. I think it would still be pulling on a 300 ft. straight. I am working on the clutch setup on mine as far as the bottom goes. And yes at least 10 minutes of run time are easy even on a mediocre tune. Get it dialed in and 11 minutes is pretty easy!!!!:D

I just finished my 7th gallon through my B5 today. Ive been toning it down with lighter springs and flywheel weights. Ive got at least 2 more races before Nitro Challenge. Looks like ill be heading into that with an 8 gallon deep B5:cool::deathstar Fingers crossed. Rebuild after
