I had to take this photo of a book my daughter is reading right how only because it describes Neal's modifing skills perfectly.

Raced my Clocked P5 last night. My clutch set-up was dead on for buggy. car had fantastic forward acceleration without any wheelies or breaking the tires free. track was mad traction all night, running soft Impacts with red foams. The P5 was just starting to get into ballistic mode at the end of the long straight ( about 70 feet ) I was enjoying the engine so much I had pretty horrible results :D Instead of driving the buggy I was just stabbing the throttle everywhere to hear and see it scream. I did have one of the most epic crashes in RC history. There is a high speed berm with stacked hay bales thats about 150' long. I was WOT coming around the berm and I hit a rut, which caused my buggy to go into a complete flying spiral. It flew up about 10 feet in the air and right over the top of the hay bales in a perfect out of control side spiral! It was the coolest thing I have ever seen done with an RC car. Of course by the time a marshal got to me I was a lap behind, but it was all worth it to see that, and to drive that Clocked P5! next Sunday I get to take it out to ET with the 240' front straight :sneaky:

what pipe are you running?

Jaz240 01-20-2012 02:45 PM

WERKS 2058 with the standard manifold. My compete set up for the buggy is listed a page or so back. I pitted safely at 9 minues but the engine is still new so 10 minutes with a full race tune should be easy.

so this p5 is a lot better than the werks power wise and will be faster than the werks engine. or does it just got better jump power for those jump right after a 180 turn. thank i was just talking to them about it and he recomend the p5 for me. so i jumped to there thread and sound like a good engeine and what im looking for. and will work with a jp1 pipe but be on the gas drinking side. so after i get the new on my track i guess it p5 from clocked for me too but it going in a truggy.

The B5 or P5 would both be great choices for a truggy. Great bottom end on both of them to easily get any truggy around the track, but for right around the same price my choice would always be Novarossi

yes i just want to be able to beat those good werks driver at my track. i always seem to be following there dust by a second or two. so i guess it the p5 boy the made there motor sound good on there thread but i get it modded for clocked recmondatio. I totaly did not know of this motor but watch some vide of it. it cold be the driver but it looks to be the best choice over all. When you get the modded version does it still come with all the venturi too

Yes, the Clocked P5 would still come with the 7,7.5 & 8 venturi.

Can anyone explain the basic concept of the springs? What is a role of running .9 or 1.05?

spring diameter adjusts the engagement RPM of the clutch...... Shoe weight determines the clamping force of the clutch........... a early engagement can tone down the power of a engine off the bottom, a higher engagement can increase the power off the bottom.....

Hi, Do you have any updates as to when you are going to have any more clocked RB Fire 11s back in stock?

Was keen to get one of these to try out.

Cheers.

Unfortunately we have had no updates given to us....We have engines ordered, but for reasons unknown to us no engines are yet available in North America other then what some retailers may have in stock .....Not much we can really do other then wait and see....

Today I ran more fuel in my bonito tomorrow it hits the track need to sneak away ;) . I've tried the Re12,ofna 086, 1005, re11, werks 2058, and 2013 out off all the pipes the 086 and 2058 feel the best. Man it takes forever for the fuel to run out but I'm being easy still fat on the top but Temps are above 195. The bottom is sick when it starts to ramp up hold on this thing doesn't stop. It so impressive the power is there buts its a smooth transition don't know how Neil does it but its insane. Next it the 2058 with ofna header tomorrow i will have a good idea about run time but I would bet 10 mins easily

I'm running werks 6 plug, M2c with weights on the outer rim 1.0 springs all the way around Med hard shoes. Once she drops its going to be hard shoes all the way around to keep temps down.

How would a clocked b6 do against a stock bonito in a d8t?
