Ok I understand the size issues but the question I had was is the 28028 a turbo button for the team engine?

Can I use my turbo plugs in it like I do with the 28002?

I cant find anywhere where it lists what it is 100%.

gee I wish Novarossi just shipped all engines with turbo buttons!

hi guys ....

i have a plus 4 team edition... the engines runsvery good but not have that loe end that i will want... I race with the short header... also have the long header... the track is very tecnical... no large sections... I know that putting the long header will give the low end that I want the question is with fuel... does anyone compare fuel mileage with this two headers?

thanks

Yes and I would recommend reshimming to .70mm or .65mm after a gallon, do not go any lower than .60mm

What's your setup? I would need to know which pipe, plug, clutch, gear ratio, etc. before making any suggestions

Is the clutch new?

That design of clutch slips for quite a while until the shoes/bell get wore in together

did you already check to make sure your clutch isn't slipping?

That setup you have going should have alot of "pop"

never tought of it... YES IT S NEW!!!!!!!!!!!!
just put it for practice past saturday ( pracrtice like 1/2 gallon)
just open the cltuch to inspect and yes its very dark ( clutch bell material) will do the clutch maintenace and hit the track this saturday...
sorry to bother again ( how much time aprox will i have to run it until it doesn t slip more???)

will put 2 1.1 to get a stiffer clutch setup and if that doesn t work... will try the nova long header ( saving this change for last)

thanks vry much
appreciated houston

first off this should be discussed in a clutch forum but

did you use a new clutch bell?
did you scuff the clutch bell before installing ?
did you clean the grease out of the bearings ?
did you break in the clutch by giving it copious amounts of throttle then putting a load on it by forcing it to the ground ?
is your flywheel nut tight and not slipping?

go through that checklist then get back to me

hope this helps

Hey Houston

question for you.

I have generally got 11:20 runtime from my plus 21-4 engines but over the past couple of meetings my economy has gone out the window. I am down to 9 min.

Cant seem to find the issue, same clutch as before, 9901 same pipe. fuel still 25%, shimming the same.

I am even getting about 6 ml more from my tank now after a fuel filter and some tank mods. tank capacity is 124ml now.

Ive put new plug in leaned the top end a few hours but with no large change to efficiency. I checked my carb settings against a post youput up a few days ago and they were within a qtr turn.

idle .6mm lsn was bang on and hsn was a qtr turn leaner than you posted.

any ideas or places I should look at? or should I just keep leaning it out?

I have 2 engines that are both delivering similar runtime. The older one has 5 gallons on it and I have just replaced rod, pin and new nova ceramics bearings.

thanks
Ben

Has there been a major track change at you're local track recently?
Major weather changes? Hotter air needs leaner needle settings and cooler plugs

Drivetrain on car free?
