I have a plus 4 btt 9901/021 1.25 gallons on it. My needle settings are about flush on top and about half a turn in on bottom. A local fast guy said those are rich settings. What do you think?

first off this should be discussed in a clutch forum but
did you use a new clutch bell?
did you scuff the clutch bell before installing ?
did you clean the grease out of the bearings ?
did you break in the clutch by giving it copious amounts of throttle then putting a load on it by forcing it to the ground ?
is your flywheel nut tight and not slipping?
go through that checklist then get back to me
hope this helps

i use the old clutch bell
yes i scuff the clutchbell
clean the bearings (BUt the durango dont have splash guard so my friend who was helping me splash all the clutch!!!!)
what i usaully do with new cltch is give it two tanks of smooth throttle...
flywheel is tight re check that...
recheck all the points that you say and give some cltuch maintenance
will try the car tomorrow and see how it goes... I think it was because of the fuel that come over the shoes... the 4 shoes where all black...
thanks houston i will tell you soon how it goes.. hopefully for th better

Can some one let me know what run times are possible with a N21R / dynamite 086 pipe combo.
Also will the 9901 / 41021 combo work well for run time and power on the N21R also?
Both ?'s are in regard to a buggy
Basically i want to know if run times will get near a plus 4 with 9901 / 41021

Runtimes are close to the +4, but the N21R has smoother bottom end.

Well I finally had the chance to race the plus-4 engine. I had been using p5's for so long that I really have not tried the 4 port....
I had a great time. the 4 port had the perfect mix between torque and smoothness and with plenty of rpm's. I can drive it punched and it stays the same temp all race long, I can see now why the top drivers use the 4 ports in buggy. I used a 7mm restrictor, a 9853ss pipe and the short mugen nova header....Fantastic engine....
Having a new engine is like a kid with a new pair of shoes, you just run faster...

Hi, I just bought a new Losi 2.0 buggy and I'm going to run my toro nero factory tuned motor. I was wondering if anyone has a good base setup for this buggy/motor. Right now I have a 9901 and 41020 exhaust on it. Any info would be appraciated.

Just ordered a new Truggy (Mugen MBX6T) and since I love my Plus 21-4T so much in my buggy I want a Novarossi for the truck. The track I run at is mediumish in size, with sportsmen like me running average laps of 36-38 sec (pros run 32-34 sec). What engine, pipe, and header combo should I be looking at?
Thanks,
Shane

the 9853ss pipe with short round nova header would work perfectly...

most conditions in a truggy. The p5 is great if you want to have the biggest roostertails.

Are you racing at loganville?

I would go with the plus 4btt for the best laptimes, and runtime. The p5 gives too much power when leaned out, and crappy fuel mileage when you richen it to have controllable power. The plus 4btt has plenty of power for truggy, especially my modified version. It will also run for 15 minutes in
