glad I found this. I’ve been stocking up on ct05 plugs thinking they would work just fine. Glad I got them while I could

Hey there everyone. So I’ve been thinking about novarossi lately and wanted to speculate a little bit. So I heard a rumor that Max Power(novarossi based engines) bought a ton of machinery from novarossi in order to make their own engines. Now I don’t have faceback, but if you go to max power Facebook, they posted the other day about a “major announcement coming soon”. Does anyone think they might have straight up bought novarossi out? I will say, I saw on Wallace motorsports online that they have 4 brand new max power engines in stock on their website. So maybe that announcement they made on their Facebook is just related to that, but still I wonder....

Picked up a Novarossi Rolling along with a 9853/41031 pipe/header combo. The motor has engine break in service by Drake.

anyone have experience with this motor in a buggy?. I mainly race at a small 8th scale track.

I have experience with this engine and have also broken-in many of them on my EBIS machine. You didn't specify what you're asking?

MaxPower engines were always produced by Novarossi, so I wouldn't be surprised if they took a chance and bought them out. It would allow them to maintain their product line.

Is it a good motor for buggy or truggy?

Awesome Stephen, good to know.
p.s.. pretty sure I remember reading tons of articles written by you like 15 years ago when I was a teenage and started rc. I’m glad to see you’re still a part of the hobby. Also, I’ve used your break in method for alll of my engines over the past 15 years, literally have never had any major issues with any of them. Thank you for that break in method, might use your EBIS services one day if you think it would enhance longevity. Thanks again pal, take care.

Ha! Yeah those were my articles - feels good to know you found them useful, as well as the original break-in method I wrote about long ago. It still works great to break-in engines manually. I absolutely love the results the EBIS produces, mainly b/c I just don't have the time anymore to spend part of a full day at the track doing the heat cycle method. EBIS engines run really nicely right from the first tank, and I've done over 200 engines at this point. Longevity-wise - I think the rods last a bit longer b/c when the engine is brand new and ultra tight, the EBIS method uses a very controlled heat & RPM that creates far less stress compared to firing it up and running it. Hit me up if I can help; email is the best way as I don't check here as often. Thanks again.

I'd personally prefer it in buggy over truggy, as I want tons of low end grunt in truggy. The Rolling is more linear and better suited IMO to buggy use. It's a great engine!

Steve Bess, holy cow. Was talking about you a couple weeks ago with another old H-town racer. Hope you're right on this, I'd miss Novarossi. Hope things are going well.

Why do you say that? There's nothing mentioned about a Novarossi engine on the T5 description. All head buttons are not created equal.....lol.

Protek used sell a NovaRossi based engine. I think these were the plugs they used. The plugs maybe rebadge Nova plugs.
