I am wondering why the rolling says tuned crankshaft but the mito is more expensive. Strange.
I also have a rolling and am very happy with it. Even during breakin and initial tuning plenty of power while rich. Don’t know first hand but I’ve also read that the mito line didn’t have the life span of most Nova engines. If you’re looking to buy a new Nova check out Cosmopro on eBay. He sells them at great prices and ships super fast. I ordered both my Rolling and Mantra from him and got each of them 2 days after sale. |
I am also running Virtus and rolling, basically the same engine with different bearings.
I am very happy with them, great bottom, great top! Overall perfect. I have 3x virtus and 3x rolling that I run them all in truggies! |

Is the mito 7 you’re looking at with ceramic bearings? That would definitely increase price.

Hi guys, anyone knows why the mantra is out of production?
|
Got my new Bonito broken in for the most part. Installed a Buku front bearing cap on the engine right out of the box. Had some difficulty with it priming, and before I figured out what it was, I removed the 7.5mm venturi that came in the carb to set the idle gap to 0.6mm and never put it back in. The fuel supply issue wound up being the dark Tekno fuel line included in the NB48 2.0 kit. Robbed the thicker light color line from my old Losi RTR and now it primes up and pulls fuel like it should.
The Bonito screams. I expected it to be about the same power as my old P5 since I'm using the same Dynamite 053MR pipe/header setup that I used on that P5, but it's significantly better power all around with the Bonito. Haven't timed it for fuel mileage and don't know how much it'll change power/mileage if I put the 7.5mm venturi back in. |

If you want to buy one I think the guy I got mine from on eBay still has. They come new in box straight from Italy. Great prices and super fast shipping. I have probably close to a gallon on mine now with 4 days of track time and one track has a straight close to 100’ long and she screams down it and doesn’t even sound like she’s hitting peak power until the last 10’. I think I have to lean her out more. She’s creating amazing power low and top but I did a few full throttle rips away from me and back for about 40’-50’ each way like 5-6 times and checked temp and it was only at about 180*F and it was 70*F sunny |
There was a 2020 version listed. The eBay seller that had them is out of stock on a lot of engines. Hopefully he will get more soon.

Hello all, I have a rolling in my buggy with a 41021/9901. It actually runs really good. Good bottom, good top, but it seems a little thirsty. Haven't timed it, I'm guessing it's around 9 minutes and then dry.
My question is has anyone tried a 41021/2135 on the rolling? |

what Venturi are you using? My rolling with 41021/9853 6.5 Venturi can do 10mins every time I hit the track
I just have a 2135 and will end up trying it. Curious on pro's/cons. Fun motor for sure . |

My guess is to make you buy a mephisto if you want the square stroke novarossi. They are almost the same engine. The difference that I see is dlc crank, 3 needle carb, and cooling head on the mephisto .
jpz_67, are there any advantage on square stroke engines over the long ones? |

Thanks all you guys for the answers.
jpz_67, are there any advantage on square stroke engines over the long ones? I can drive better when I have more control over my buggy. A smooth power band makes this much easier. The rolling was not ballistic compared the the mantra but it did have more wheel spin and required easier throttle inputs. Of course it did have more power everywhere. I mainly bought it for when I go to a larger track or when I want a bigger smile on my face. :) |
Novarossi bx3
I’m breaking the engine and seems to have plenty of power for a buggy I have ran some novarossi in the past and liked them any body have any thoughts on this engine
