Ok here's an odd one, well for me at least. Brand new Roma run a rear bearing. It would have 1/2 a gallon at most through it.
Not that I suspected anything but from the get go I was a little disappointed in its performance. I had one club day at our track then took it out and went back to the P5. Decided to put it back in and try it again on our home track. After a couple of tanks I heard the dreaded sound of a bearing. Of course by the time you hear it it's too late. The thing is toast. Mildly disappointed to say the least.
I doubt this is common but I would be interested to hear if this has happened in the past.

This seem to have been a common thing with the Romas. Same thing happen with a few of my buddies. Fortunately they're motors didn't get ruined. From what I was hearing it was best to swap the bearing out prior to firing it up.

Shout out to Absolute Hobbyz. Helped me out with a P5. Big thanks.
As for the Roma if they kill rear bearings that's not a good look. I am hopeful Amain will see me right here. If not back to Absolute Hobbyz to get parts as they have them instock.

Have both and both make great primary engines honestly. I don't think there's a better buggy engine for the money than the Elite5. It is my backup, but only because when I went to order another they were out of stock so I bought the P5XLT/16. Also a great engine. The Paloma is a great truck engine. I run a 2096 pipe in buggy and a 9886 in truck.
