The Revenge and Paloma should both have a #16800 14x25.8x6 rear bearing and 7x19x6 front. I know for sure the orange Paloma uses the non-double shielded 17004 bearing instead of the fabled 17011. Probably one of the main areas where they cut costs on their budget engines but it's still not a bad bearing. I believe the Revenge uses the 17004 too.

For those who have used these engines, if I put the Elite 5, Paloma Orange, and Revenge side by side, am I going to see noticeable differences in starting and tuning? Are these high comp engines that require new Ross after a gallon or 2? Thank you for your input.

For the money you just can't beat the Elite 5 value.

That said - I have zero experience with the other two. It's a novarossi, so it's going to be tight regardless of which of the three you buy. I recommend sending it to RCrenew and have Lance break it in for you.

I can assure you it tunes the same as other higher/lower end engines. Since more engine using long lsn, just that it may produce more/less power, different power band and life span but a bad tune = bad engine

i have absolute hobbyz version with the orange head, neal should be getting it to run in for me today sometime(or next week knowing canada post). the pipe wont fit in my buggy because of the pressure nipple, but ive seen it fit an mp9 in the mp9 thread here.
internally it looks like the old n21bf with the small crank bore. im guessing they are just ways of getting rid of old parts.
as socket said you would probably be happier with the elite5, novarossi direct is also selling the paloma 7 port orange head for 129. i was going to pick up one last night but $50 to ship to canada is too much for a motor.

I contacted Novarossi direct in regards to their int shipping options and prices and advised they should look into this as it's hurting their sales I know of atleast 4 people that have been ready to buy and some multiple engines incl myself (I was ready to get 3 engines) but shipping has killed the deal.

I prefer 7mm

This is personal and track dependent.

Try different inserts and see what you like.

Agree.

I have been bouncing back and forth between the 6 and 7mm for the couple tracks I run. I have found the 5.5 caused the midrange to load up a touch. Not too bad but was noticeable...

Pipe combo

Was wondering if anyone has tried 2096/41001 pipe header combo before. I was thinking that the 41001 would open up the 2096 pipe a bit, similar to what it does to the 9901. And what would the fuel mileage be like?

Do you think the elite8 will like the 41005 manifold too?

My Bonito has just been relegated to back up engine duties since I just acquired a Reds. My local suppliers is out of the C6TCG plugs and won't be getting anymore in, so looking at what glow plug alternatives I could use, cheers

I would ask Monty how the C5TGN is working. I know he mentioned he was going to be running it at some point.

Is it hard to get stuff direct from japan down under?

Yeah I think the Revenge might actually have the double shield 17011 bearing judging by the pictures. It is a darker blue and has more writing on it, the 17004 is a light blue and just says 607-RS
