use .70mm shimming and you are good , you can take them down to .60mm if you think its necessary , they come at .80mm for break in

Well I guess im going to be answering this question myself, received a clockworks modified Novarossi Virtus .21 via the DHL courier yesterday, the engine had been broken in on the bench at clockworks so I headed out to get a little more fuel through it last night in a car part, WOW comes to mind after 3 tanks of driving it, nice stable idle, tons of power everywhere, plan on getting some more fuel through it today and tomorrow so I can hit the track on sunday with it, get a race tune on it and get some video of the animal in action.

Good to hear. Looking forward to the footage and more feedback.
I have one coming (non clockworks) , what pipe/header are you running?

Cheers

Started out last night with the Werks 2058 & rounded Werks header which is the combo I run on my Novarossi P5 & Novarossi Bonito in the past as below.

Going to try the Werks 2058 on the Ofna double bend header tonight for a few tanks and see what I think of it before I hit the track on the weekend.

Just remember you need a longer linkage for the throttle when you install the engine with the carby moving over 8mm away from the servo with the new design crankcase, I had cut the extra length off my Xray linkage so needed to fit a new rod to make it work properly using zero servo settings good luck with the new engine

Yep already purchased a longer linkage, such a good looking engine, hopefully goes as well as it looks.

This engine is based off the Novarossi Keep-Off 21-4 which created more linear power band, higher top speed and great fuel mileage. It is finished off with the traditional Novarossi purple head with Beat graphics (Note: Engine includes Turbo Glow Plug)."

If not the exact match, anyone know the differences?
Anyone have idea on this? Big price difference but seem to be the same engine? Thank you

The beat 4 is more closely related to the plus 21-4 btt/a than the keep off 4

Lil things change pricing dramatically

Hope this helps

Default Hmm

I think the cylinder is from a plus-4. It does have the lower head and machined case of the BTT though probably with exhaust squared to match the plus-4 cylinder, basically a milled down plus-4 case.

The rain won the battle on the weekend, so didn't get a chance to get more fuel through the engine or race the Clocked Novarossi Virtus .21, CRE had all ready broken the engine in for me so I got it out on the black top so as to run some more fuel through the engine before the State Title event in 10 days time, here is some footage in my Xray XT9.

Are you aware of the running change recently made to the Mugen line? They were just released about a month or so back. There new name is Beat Plus 4 keep off. If this makes a differnce or not. I have the new engines in hand but not knowing what the old Beat4's were internally I can't compare changes. I will however see tomorrow if the new Beat 4 has the steped rear bearing.
