How can you call me cheap ? I gave the guy a free TKO bearing to replace the 17011 that was packed with dirt..... Others may have just rinsed the bearing out and put it back in, but not me...I decided to just put a fresh set of TKO bearings into the engine instead, front and rear I might add, on my dime, not his....Anyone who has dealt with me knows I am not cheap by any means....so ya ! nice try there dude !!!! ....

OS front bearings are the best i've seen. 17011's got really shitty for awhile. I no longer use them. Still have one new in package i won't use.

Guess I saw this thread just in time, bought 2 of those bearings about 10 minutes ago and now amain has removed the entire part number from their site!

Neal is far from cheap. I know from experience.

Hi guys,

New to nova engines(actually quite new to rc cars), someone's selling 2 different slightly used nova engines(a Plus 4c team edition and a Toro nero team edition), just wanna ask which one is better for 1/8 scale buggies(will be running the buggy in our homemade track at our local flying field with just a few turns and a long straight of about 15 to 20 meters):

1) what are the differences between the 2 engines especially for buggy?

2) pros and cons?

3) what nova pipe are u guys using with the 2 said engines?( i ask cuz the seller is also offering choice of pipe, but sorry i didn't ask what pipes were those but he said nova pipes)

4) if ever i got one of those engines, what are the brand choice of glow plugs i can use?

5) i'll be using 30% nitro for the engine, so what temp glow plug should i use if outside temp is around 30 to 35 Celsius?

6) lastly, how long(how many gallons) does the engine usually last if broken in properly and not really racing but just bashing with friends?

Thanks a lot for any help i can get, and sorry for so many questions.

Happy New Year to all!

I wouldn't buy a used engine, no matter how slightly used it is unless its from someone you know or if you know that person took good care of the engine.

You can use Novarossi, Werks, and OS plugs. Use caution with OS plugs though, do not over torque them. If you use OS plugs your tun will be more forgiving.

Nova C6TGC, Werks 6, or OS P4

Depends. Take good care of it and it will last long. Replace the rod every 4 or 5 gallons and let the engine warm up everytime before running it hard.

Thanks a lot for any help i can get, and sorry for so many questions.

Happy New Year to all!

OS bearings...really?!? The bearings in my last OS Speed XZ-B were horrible...both front and rear. After my experience with two XZ-B speed engines, OS lost my support of their products.

Rob if you don't want that 17011 feel free to drop it on my pit table next time we race together.

Plus 4 has better/smoother/more driveable power , toro nero is a lot of power and will fly on long straights

Hi houston,

Thanks a ton for the help, so i think i'll get the toro nero for the long straight power.
Oh, btw, i'll be putting the engine on a mugen mbx6 buggy, i suppose the pipes you recommended is good for it?

Thanks a lot for the advice houston, but may i ask why the 41029? And also the seller has 2 choices i think for the header and pipe, so what will be my next best choice if he doen't have the 41029(or even the combo)?
