A fuel with a better oil package will allow you to lean the carb a little more. Higher nitro % (25 or 30%) has a bit of a cooling factor and also provides a better explosion allowing less throttle to be used. All very minor things but when added together they give a better running engine.

It definently won't help...
I would straighten it out. Find something that fits SNUG inside of stinger, phillips screw driver? heat it up, insert snug fitting tool, slowly bend back.

I'm struggling with my bonito yesterday. I used c6 plug 9901 41001 combo stock shimm 6.5mm venturi and use 25/12 fuel. Its about 27-30C yesterday. A light rain clear the dust and give more traction to the track. I ended with 3 dead new plugs. I'm used to tunr my 4btt but I'm all new with bonito. Is it way too diffrent to tune it? Since I'm using the lsn 1st hsn later method.

I got a lot flame out yesterday. The engine sometimes feel ok but some time it feel rich. It gave me a lot bad landing. Its really unpredictable. I use a short pressure line. My guess is I have a leak @my front bearing. Since it has a light scratch arround it. The needle setting I used yesterday was flush for hsn and lsn. Any suggestion???

maybe you ingested dirt...3 dead plugs is a sign something isn't happy inside your engine...

I have two questions both is about the 17011 Nova bearing. A-Main has the Losi R21 parts on sale which include the R7 conrod for $40 and this bearing for $17 http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-w-Rubber-Seal I have asked this question before and got yes and some no answers, so is it the 17011? Also my good friend got a clocked p5 with the 17011 installed awhile back but had some kind of issue so he sent it back and it was fixed but for some reason CRE put the TKO bearings in it and I have been running it in because he went ahead and got the clocked btt which is awesome by the way. Anyway the TKO front bearing is leaking already and I know when you run it rich that can happen but I have had all Nova engines and everyone had the 17011 in it which I love so I not sure if it's normal for the TKO to leak more than the 17011 has in the past break-ins? I wonder if I should go ahead and install a 17011 but I wish they had just left it in because I would take one of the 17011 over 5 TKO bearings? My buddy is done with the engine so I am trying to get it right for my back-up since I am in love with my Fusion x3lfm I will run it until it's tired and get another HES engine. Any chance CRE might send me a 17011 since that's what is suppose to be in it and the guy did spend $700 but he just don't want to hassle with it so he said here take this and give me whatever/whenever! Thanks! Oh yeah I do want to say CRE went out of his way to resolve the issue for my friend and his new Clocked BTT is AWESOME so this is not a complaint! Everyone knows CRE is a good engine guy but shite happens! I am just curious about the TKO bearings and leakage.

If we replaced a bearing it means the bearing we pulled was either damaged of full of dirt....we generally don't change bearings unless there is a reason to...

And engines leak when they are rich, a 17011 will leak just the same as a TKO..as neither have a true seal........I wouldn't worry too much about it ..get the engine tuned in properly and the leak should go away.....And trust me, its better the engine leaks a little then to have it dry and sucking dirt inside itself....

If your not having any erratic flame outs or tuning issues your fine as Neil stated. every bearing will leak, when you buy a new engine you will see oil on the outside. t's important to run a good fuel this aids in sealing your front bearing. It's a good idea to inspect on a regular basis by pulling your bearing out. Then clean if required if you find dirt on a regular basis then you might want to consider looking at different oil packages within your fuel selection. Byrons has always done me right or adding Byron oil additive is another option if your running full synthetic.

Also Rod and Crank pin wear should be monitored this will cause excessive bearing issues over time. If you have a new engine, change your rod as tolerances increase this will prolong your engine life again fuel is key.

Hey guys thanks for the replies! I have always ran Nova engines and they all have slobbered a little and more during the rich tanks of run-in but never had any exp. with TKO and engines with tons of bottom end. I have ran mostly 4 port stock engines until recently got a HES x3lfm and I have had a great second half of the year with it (super smooth/10 min pits/great mid-top end) so now I am more interested in trying a couple different modified engines! I just happened to come across this p5 and it runs fine so I am sure I'm rich on the bottom also added 2% lube booster to my 30/9 vp which is what probably caused the larger amount of leakage. I will be finishing the last of the run in tanks soon and will speak with you then also I am about flush on bottom and a less than a turn below on top with 7mm insert/9901. Thanks again for the info/help! Oh yeah my other question was is that the 17011 in the link above? I think it is because I had a Losi R21 and bearing looked the same as my BTT.
