Good point on tune to pipe, I'm running an Old Nova Rossi Top P-5, CEO Mod, in Losi truggy, with RE12 TLR pipe, 6.5 restrictor, in a 20 minute main today, I had one pit for fuel, at the end of the race, still had between a third and quarter of a tank of fuel left, running 30% VP fuel, This was at The Fearfarm track in Az. About 72 F here today. I have had good luck with the RE12 pipe.

I usually can tune all the pipes to get about the same mileage.... tho track conditions and driving style can have some effects on the best pipe for mileage..... but as a general rule I can get just as much run time from a 9886 as I can from a 9901..... Its all in the the fine tuning of the needles !

Will the 9901 give better mileage then the 2096 or can they both get the same when tuned right?

And what pipe is best for the P5 in truggy?

Thanks in advance.

I do not see much difference in the mileage of the pipes once everything is tuned in correctly...I can pretty much dial in any combo to get crazy good runtimes , more a matter of how lean I want to run the engines....Stock P5 the 9886/41001 works awesome in truggy..

I run on a med/large track with crazy high traction, we have very technical sections with very short run ups, so having a strong bottom end is a massive advantage here....

I'm having problems sitting my novarossi BTT engine on the losi quick engine mount. I can sit any engine right with no problem but the nova engines won't sit right when I tighten the screws down. Can someone tell me what part do I have to grind down and how much. Pics would be a lot of help. Thanks

If that's the case then obviously you'd rather grind on the mount than on the engine block.
Obviously it won't take much work to figure out where to grind, so I'll leave that to you.

Grind (chamfer) the inner edges of the engine mounts

on of my friends said 9886/41001 is crazy power and great top end but the combo kills glow. can't stand 1/2 gallon per glowplug is it true??

Nothing could be further from the truth. Bad tuning kills glow plugs, not pipes and headers....

Well, also an engine which is worn out will start eating plugs once the crank pin and rod have enough play.

who sells novarossi roma piston sleeve rod set. i need a replacement. mine ingested dirt and i check, there's a few scratches on the inside of the sleeve. it wouldn't idle very well now.

i tried looking for it but cant seem to find one.

I bet he meant kill low as in low end power ;)

Higher rpm's will eat glow plugs faster if you do not use cooler/stronger glow plugs
