You get what you pay for, most of the time.

Being a student as well and understanding your situation, I would still save up a little more for a P5, gonna be worth it.

Thank you very much. If I happen to want a sleeve set do you have a part no# for that?
I've nearly finished going over the car and running motor, can't wait to drive my first nitro.

I've just purchased my first nitro from a local race which came with two Toro Nero engines, one needing a new conrod. Can someone please point me in right direction? I can't seem to find anything googling 'novarossi toro nero'.

Thank you,
Michael.

You can get this P5 at Amain, with shipping discount, for under 200 bucks, if you would have looked on Labor day weekend, there was an additional 10% off.

The seller confirmed it's a 21-7 now.. Will this be good to compare against a p5?

Thanks

Whatever it is, it doesn't matter, for the price, save a little more, buy a P5 and don't look back. There's a reason why the P5 is the most popular engine out there.

Its not a plus 21-5 like the box says? Hmmmm

All novarossi engines r good , if its in good shape i would offer 150$ , it aint new ;)

Wtvr engine you get just learn a few things about nitro and you will prolly blow it up a lil prematurely but hope that you've learned what not to do with your next engine :D

Good luck
Lmk if i can do anything for ya

Alright, I know every track is suited to different types of engine ( I believe? ).

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I'm really being fussy, but I was wondering from experienced ones. Would the FMS or P5 serve me better. How about think about it in this perspective. Both engines are available to me RIGHT NOW. I can put whichever one I can onto my buggy.

Thanks

Usually you can get away with using one engine for all kinds of track, for a faster, longer, big track, go up a gear on clutch bell, for a smaller tight track, use a 13t clutch bell.

I would buy a P5.

I just checked out the Novarossi Volksmotor for buggy... Is it a good engine? It's priced VERY VERY well.

TX_Punisher 09-09-2012 09:56 AM

Is it available in the U.S.? It is a spare-parts engine being made by Nova--not necessarily a bad thing.

I believe someone here ordered one a few months ago. Not sure if he's given any sort of input on it yet.

Toro Nero crankcase

Hi guys. Can you please help out!! A back plate screw on my engine was decapitated.... and there is no way to take it out. So I'm looking for another crankase at a reosonable price. I found one from a bonito 21-7xlb/a(part # 09029tn11) where as the toro neros is 09029tn. Does anyone know if it will be ok? Will my engine seal if I use lucky7 sealant and 3 out of 4 screws?
Any ideas? Thank you for in advance for any replies provided.

Best price I've seen.. Good shop.

sschultz 09-09-2012 11:48 AM

When the back plate is off, is the body of the screw visible or is it broke flush? If its sticking out, try tapping on it carefully and grab it with a small needle nose vise grip. A machine shop might be able to help you if it's broke flush. Good luck...
