Dear engine tuning gurus, I need your help.

I purchased no less than 3 engines, all 21-4C's off a German guy. One was said to have about 5 litres through it, so about 1 and 1/3rd of a gallon. The other one less than a gallon, and the third is new/unused. (The guy sold like 9 engines in total, all 21-4C's.)
So I have been using the one with most ran through it. It has huge compression, so I do not doubt the mileage claimed. Maybe it is not fully broken in? I have ran about 1/2 gallon through it myself.
It came without a carb restrictor for some reason, so I fitted a generic 6.5mm aluminum restrictor, one of those cheap china jobs.

Now, here's the problem. It does not idle well.
The engine runs great while on the track "in use", has good top end, decent bottom end, runs for a long time on one tank, and generally I am very happy with the driveability of it. I am using the 9901 and 41029.
However, it absolutely refuses to idle well.

I realize this might be something to do with the tuning as I am a beginner at it, but I am not sure we are that far off on the tuning, and I've had like 5 different guys help me out, of course I realize they may not know what they are doing either, and might not be so much better than me at tuning, so hence I ask here.

So, when Idling I notice there is not much smoke coming out of it.
The idle gap is not "very" excessively large. It was set to about .5mm when I received it, and I have tried to avoid to open it more as I have been told about this "average woman tune" on the forums here before. We may have opened it a little bit more.

So, what happens when I idle?
It sits for about 10 seconds idling fine, then the rpm seems to drop off for about five seconds, and then it stops.
If for some reason I stop at the track (flipping over or stuck on something), or if I stop in the pits for refueling, once I then resume to the track, the engine will spool up when I throttle up, then it will once I release the throttle, stop immediately. Or sometimes after my initial acceleration, brake, and then another acceleration it will stop upon me hitting the throttle again. To me that seems like it is loading up fuel in the carb or something? I might be thinking wrong, could it be the opposite of what I am thinking?

Today I was using a #5 Novarossi turbo plug, I do not know so much about it as it came with the engine, but it broke during the day, and I noticed the filament was somewhat gray'ish in color. Does that mean something?
My friend was kind enough to donate me a #6 nova turbo plug, so I could keep on running, but as it kept stalling out on idle and if I flipped the car or whatever, it really wasn't that much fun, so in the end I called it a day and went for a pizza.

So what should I do? How come there is not any smoke at idle, and lots of smoke at full throttle? Bit confused appreciate any help.

Ps. Running Byron 25/11

I cant seem to be able to remove the sleeve on my toro nero completely. I used the toothbrush method to get a portion of the sleeve out and then just pry with small screwdrivers however the piston is about half an inch out of the engine block and I cant seem to move it anymore. What should I do? Also I can not seem to be able to remove the carbie either even with the bolt removed. Please help

Heat! Use a heat gun on it for a bit and the sleeve should slide right out. Should help remove the carb too.
