Without looking at the engine ,from what you say you keep flaming and low compression on a gallon old engine sounds like you got dirt in.the engine . Take it apart and take a pic of the crank and post it

just because it looks good does not mean it is. Can you push the piston past the wear marks pretty easily. How is the pinch when the motor is heated up. I had a motor that looked great but had no pinch, and basically yea I sucked in dirt and ruined the motor.

Hi all...I am just want to ask,,, First I am planning to change my Novarossi plus 21-4 standard underhead into turbo underhead, so can I just remove n plug the underhead directly as simple as that??? or I hve to change other component too?? Second, I am also planning to change my novarossi plus 21-4 standard ball bearings into ceramics ball bearings, is that worth of money n value?? Thx all

the underhead switchout is as simple as that almost , make sure you transfer all the head shims from one to the other , should be 2 x .30mm aluminum and 1 x .20mm copper shim in total .

when removing or installing a cooling head remember to undo and redo bolt tension in and even criss cross pattern upping the amount of tension/torque on the bolts each pass through the X pattern and do not overtighten

unless you are well versed in bearing change out you will more than likely do more harm than good to the engine but ceramic bearings are an improvement to engines efficiency fosho

hope this helps

I appreciate your commentss but all that has been checked doesnt push past the point and compression about the same hot or cold next time I run it I am going to use a bigger restrictor to see if that helps, never had a finicky tuning problem like this in 8 yrs

on hsn or lsn?

when you get the lsn close , half hour adjustments make a difference with the long lsn carburetors

also check that your hsn housing isnt broke , i have seen a few break right where the threads end

the lsn monty, high speed just doesnt seem to make much difference at all but thanx will examine it closely, ran a different motor today ran okay after tuning issues for sitting a year but it ran steady
so i know it isnt a tank or line issue

So once the metal pinch goes away I should take the silver shim out.
