Jost bought one one of the bad boys. First nova motor. What kind of runtime do u guys get out of it? Any advice on restrictor size/carb tricks? Thanks!

Runtimes are very dependant on your pipe /plug/clutch/tune and throttle control

Ive seen almost every engine get 7min and 12min in different hand

Recommend 2096ss/41021 for pipeset , 7mm restrictor , c5tgc or odonnell 97t plug for break in then c5tgc or c6tgc after engine comes in to its own

Just tried my 2084 for the very first time today. Good damn, it gives bottom end power! Very impressed. We needs a lot of bottom on our local track, so that pipe is perfect .

.. and nice crispy sound btw.

So whats the going rate on a P/S/R on a BTT?

Short story, My less than 20 tank old BTT went from metal pinch to OS compression from a sweet pitstop featuring 50/50 dirt to fuel.

Engine still runs and idles, but i dont know how long she has. In the process of tearing it down but i dont have any Flat head drivers (wtf put some real screws in there nova). I can see a nice dirt pile in my crank though through the intake.

actually i like the flat heads, they are easier to get out that a hex head if they are really stuck in there

I am planning to get one. Any attachments to be brought additional? My Plus 4 is due for a rebuild. Also will any other tools be required for rebuild? This will be my first rebuild.

Please suggest the correct bearings for the Plus 4?

FYI guys...all u need is some heat and gentle persuasion to get the bearings out. Removed tons of bearings easily without pullers. The pullers would b handy but too expensive for my taste.

chances are 9886 would suit the Roma a pile better then the 2084....2084 kills upper midrange and top end for a tiny extra boost in the bottom........A engine like the Roma will have a pile of its own natural tourque and wont need the help of the 2084.......You wont need to sacrifice all that top end....to me the 2084 is too much like the 9853, a little extra bottom end in exchange for a big sacrifice to midrange and top end.....

edit.... Not trying to take anything away from the 2084....its just that the Roma most likely already has a strong bottom end, so adding on a 9853 type pipe may be going too far in the one direction...usually large engine do better on RPM type pipes, as the bigger engines already have a pile of low end torque and usually need the most help on the top end....!

No additional attachments needed for the Hudy..

You may want to find screwdrivers that fit those nova screws. I have personally modified a couple of flat heads, one for the head and one for the backplate screws. You just have to be careful, as they'll strip easily if you use the wrong size tool.

Most places selling engine bearings will have a list on which bearings fit which engines.. I can tell you that most .21's and .28's require 7X19x6 size front bearings. You just have to do a little research. Hope this helps.
