STEVE307B , I have had other engines with that design. There WILL be a small space betweek the carb and the case. Just push down on the carb neck firmly while tightning the pinch bolt. The beveled out part on the engine case cradles the O-Ring and is where the seal takes place. Never had any leaks on my engines with this design. Thanks......

I do not have the new carb'd engine yet. However I would assume that you have made your best efforts to get the carb to seat. I have other engines that were the same as you describe where the oring on the carb neck does not fit in the crankcase. I may be able to answer this better in a week or so when i get an updated engine. I think you are good to go. Thanks Adam Kasch |

Regarding the slghtly gap on the new carb with the o-ring that is nothing to be concerned about.during development we ran the carbs without the second o-ring (the one at the base of the carb) as the main seal is the o-ring in the case. So you can either press the carb down and tighten the pinch bolt (which will leave a 1/2mm gap) or you can remove the o-ring and run it without if you prefer. Either way will work just fine! Does the new 2013 pipe set still have the same manifold? Just wondering as it is kind of difficult to get a long sweep type manifold tucked in an mbx6 mud guard.
