your losing HP, runtime, tune consistency, and if you ever go in too far on your needles you will have detonation with that hot of a plug. please Chris get some OS p4's or colder.

chim after reading what i said it kinda didnt explain what i meant. os and odonnel plugs have dif. threading. switching back to os and then trying to go back to odonnell could cause problems with air leaks forming at plug. im not saying that theres anything wrong with odonnell plugs they run good but just switching back and forth could be bad.

Bryce Carter, Mark Flora, and myself all qual. in the Truggy A Bryce had the Tq, and win Flora was qual. 3rd and I was 5th. the js engines seem to run great with all of us running different pipes. so with that we will see how next week goes with the cash race at HCRC. thanks again to lucky 7 and E.B. FYI I have been running OD plugs also and love them. I think the performance gains from a p4 are minimal.(splitting hairs) That's just my opinion.
Also if I am understanding this , The engine is not pipe sensitive but is plug sensitive ??? Anyway I love this engine it rocks.

the efficiency gains are far from minimal buddy. bottom line is EBMods recommends a OS P4 as the hottest plug you should run in this engine and anyone running a P3 or hotter should remove and re-tune with a OS P4.

why buy an engine and not run what the designer/manufacture suggests for optimum performance.

dumb question. I got a Race Prep, going to run a P4 with a Dyn 086. what carb insert is recommended. ALSO the bottom of my RacePrep has "23" etched into it (just wondering what that means lol) thanks

Well I finally ran the EB Mods Race Prepped JS racing engine on an outdoor type of track indoors. Been running on a small indoor track here in Iowa all winter. Was nice to run on a BIG track. I run them in both buggy"MBX6" and truggy "MBX6T". All I can say is wow! Power is killer and the run time is easily 10+ minutes. With the 7 mm res as well. I have been running the motor for a while but this is the true test for them.
The ONLY pipe and plug you should run is the 086 dynamite and the p4. I run the EB mods fuel as well and it IS better then Byrons. Better run times and the motors run cooler and crisper.

David Bradford
