just like Bryce your missing the point.... so i'll say it again slowly... if bryce was an average joe there was nothing wrong with his post. BUT as a team driver you must stick to the rules of your contract, and one of them is if you have ANY questions or issues you are to contact ME. some guys on our team just didn't bother to read the contract cause some guys dont care about what WE want, they just want discounts. Sponsorship is a 2 way street and we expect our team guys to work with US on making better products not work with the public as things always get blown waaay out of proportion on fourms.. that is why bryce or any other team guy for that matter will be terminated. If you bother to read back we'll see I'm on here daily helping customers and giving all the support needed to have success with our engines.. Good luck with your decision.
SLOWLY huh.... You think your smarter than me Mr. I work for a toy car company?? I was gona just drop this with my last post but you are a real piece of work.
I understand he was a team driver (Since your soo smart I figured you would have read that in my post) and like my post says it's good for the public to see team drivers also have issues. It offers us some light on what caused the issue and what might fix it if we have the problem. That's ok you just keep sweeping the negative under the carpet and see where it gets you.
I have been reading this thread for quite some time, I am glad you consider what you do help cause it looks to me like all you do is tell people they are running the wrong plug or the wrong pipe. Maybe you should try to help people get things working with what they have rather than write it off as wrong plug wrong pipe.
Does your contract state it's OK to come on forums and treat people like idiots?? I am guessing not.... Way to represent man!!! Thanks for making up my mind for me.

Let me ask you this.. if your a team driver and you have a issue do you call your sponsor who designed the engine or do you ask the public who has only been running them for maybe 3 months??? its just common sense if you ask me..
oh and your welcome.

joe is right he should have contacted joe or edd first if theres a problem. I know if i ever have a tunning problem or anything motor related its always been trying to contact someone in the company. everyone who runs the js engine should feel great as if there is ever a problem you can actually get ahold of someone who knows about the engine not a person setting at a desk with a trouble shooting manual that you cant undestand half the time lol.
also i watch edd and joe at many races going around helping people tune there engines team member and non team and even ppl not even running there motors. heck i think i seen edd tunning more at motorama then anything else it was like a waiting line lol...

Well IF I was a team driver I personally would go to the people that sponsor me, but maybe he was fed up with your wrong plug, wrong pipe answers. I am going to assume this guy was a 50% driver so really he is just another customer as you guys are still making money on him.
At this point I don't care if he violated every part of his contract cause I now see how you treat people and find it funny how you think your better than others. Keep telling people wrong plug, wrong pipe so you can chalk it up as another happy customer in your own little delusional world.

This is a new engine that everyone is still learning about. Recommendations might change as new information comes in from team drivers around the country. Everyone should be thankful that Joe takes as much time as he does to pass the information on via this thread. If you read back, plug recommendations have stayed pretty consistent. The only things that are changing are header / pipe combos. I would think sharing this information is a GOOD thing, not "wrong pipe answers".
All this drama needs to be dropped. The thread needs to get back to everyone raving on and sharing information on their EB Mods JS Racing Engine!

the only reason ed and joe tell you guys different plugs and pipes is because everyone uses different ones. i still run a p4 and still runs great i ran a jp3 pipe yesterday on my js and ran great but not good fuel milage but its all about the drivers feel and how they drive. everyone trys different setups and so does ed. ed probably has a hundred different pipes at his shop that hes tried and hes letting us know how they work with his motors. everyone has there own choice new pipes and plugs come out all the time so its hard to test eveything on the market thats why theres team drivers testing everyday and reporting to joe and ed. so stop ranking on them and get out and race and HAVE FUN

correct please get back on point... any and all engines have flame outs at some point or another... does this mean every engine made has a problem??? yes... because it is the guy that is turning the screwdriver in or out on the needles... with success you first have to fail (and you might do this alot or just a little) to achieve your goal....
now get back on point i have talked/pm'ed the guys involved if any more of the stuff keeps going on guys will be getting some time off of rctech..... and no i do not run for ebmods.. i did have a good phone conversation with ed this morning concerning this issue... let the team things get settled by the team........................
move on from this and get back to normal talk about the good and the maybe not so good but keep it honest and in control. joe is here to answer any and all questions.... remember we are just talking about toy cars.....

this weekend at an INDOOR race i ran my JS RacePrep with a DYN 086 and P4, Byrons 30/11, with DYN MaxLife Shoes with 1.0 springs and a 7mm restricter in a Jammin X2. Car ran GOOD power was good BUT outa the corner it had a nice stream of smoke but started to disappear on the top end. BUT it was only running 8-9min maybe 10 MAX. Running about 230-250. I figured it was LEAN with the temp and smoke but run time showed it was rich....
SO in my un-sponsored sophomore season my question is WAS it too rich on bottom and lean on top?

BTW temp inside the building was ABOUT 70degrees it varied but that'd be the average

Well for everyone that doesnt know Bryce he is a great engine tuner and races almost every weekend. He has been doing it for a while now with great success and will only get better.I dont know anyone on here and most dont know me but I think people should leave there opinions to themselves about other people. As for Joe he is a great guy and hooks me up as much as he can.I've never had an issue with him and I really dont know why this all is going on still.Anyway good luck to everyone this summer season and I hope to make it to more out of state races this year and I am going to be running eb js so watch out.lol

As a sponsored driver you have all the help you should need with Joe or ED. As one person had said before, Joe is more than willing most times to give you his personal number, although I am sure he wished he had not given it to me, as I called him on Mothers day about my motor when I sucked up have of Fun-Time Hobbies dirt, sorry for calling you on Mothers day Joe. The very next day we tried cleaning the motor out replacing the bearings, then tried to get it to run. Peter Martin from TKO bearings had I think both Joe and Ed on the phone trying to help. Needless to say the motor was toast. I can understand why as a sponsored driver they would not want you to post on here about motor related issues, as they are always there for you to call. I can say sometimes what you but in an email or post on this site, after the fact may not sound the way you meant it to sound as well. I have read all of what was Bryce has posted and although I don't think what he posted the first time sounded bad against the engine, but even he came back two posts later to state he was not unhappy about the motor just unhappy with losing the lead. So even Bryce though it might have sounded bad. This is why this stuff should be handled through your sponsor not on here. Anyone thinking about buying one of these motors please believe me when I tell you Ed, Peter Martin, or Joe will be there for you every steep of the way.

Eric-
No one can answer that for you online. There are too many factors that can cause shortened run times. Bring it over to our pit tables at Dirt Burners this weekend and Aaron can get your tune straight.
