i helped a buddy with his new stock vox this week, this weekend it ran flawless. if i had his motor in my car we would have had a great weekend. with about 10 tanks on it it is running a very consistent 236f with plenty of smoke and power. we tried to lean it a couple hours but it started lean bogging after a couple laps, went back out 2 hours and the tune was dead on again. run times with the 2035 were not great yet but he did get his hands on a 086hs so we'll see how it goes. even if it only gets like 8 minutes per tank its an awesome motor. only complaint (not bad if this is the worst thing that can happen) would be for the head to taper towards the bottom to make the motor mount screws easier to get to. great job on this motor ed.

awesome! you can also try a 2060, 9901, or 2041. these seem to becoming the popular pipes of choice besides the 086. all the pipes mentioned will get 10+ min running ebmods fuel. thats the perfect way to get the top dialed lean to you get that bog then back out 2 hrs and its dead on. the idle comes set out of teh box so you can try leaning the bottom till the idle jump then back it out 2hrs and it dialed. if you feel the bottom can be leaned more from that point then you can but the idle may need a 1/8 in either direct to get the PERFECT tune. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO TURN THE IDLE MORE THEN 1/8 IN EITHER DIRECTION TO GET THE OPTIMUM TUNE. if you do your lsn is off....

wow!! well let me see here.....i have posted a question about flamming out and how i wasnt happy about losing the race not that i wasnt happy about the motors, but now my sponsorship has been terminated because i asked a simple question that was misunderstood? thanks joe alessi what piece of work u are!! i have been a positive influence on EB Mods line of fuel and motors and i had to spend $610 dollars of my own money to even get the stuff and this is how u repay ur team drivers? i have had my doubts from the beginning and now it is confirmed. 1 gallon on a full modded and it flames out!!! what a waste of money.......not to mention the only the difference between a full modded and race prep is a putty filled crank and ceramic bearing? ya we pulled them both apart and the rods are the same piston and sleeve are exactly the same!!! so what are u trying to sell to fellow racers? u advertise a fully modded motor but perform no mods to it? im surprised no one else has ask the same question wtf am i getting for my money? nothing but putty and a bearing......at one gallon the coated crank pin has worn off....wow what a great crank that is!! the sad thing is we have compared 3 full modded to 3 race prepped motors at the track and its the same thing....all that have a gallon or more the cranks are worn and there is no difference between the motors??? Future buyers beware!!!!! save ur money
and i will post pics to show exactly what im talking about

I see you didnt read your contract! which is part of the reason your sponsorship was terminated... ppl think sponsorships are about handouts and thats just not the case... if a team driver has a problem he or she is to contact ME and i will always do my best to help. you on the other hand did not. The forums are extremely powerful and many comments get blown out of proportion which is exactly why you were terminated. ppl have to understand accepting a sponsorship comes with great responsibility and obligation. And on the Full mod engines that you and your engine expert friends think you know about. you know nothing! the piston is lightened, the rod is lightened, the crank is lightened & balanced., AND it comes with a tko bearing a filled crank. can't tell you how many times we've gotten phone calls about "this engine isn't modded" even back in the day with EB vspecs. just because an engines not hacked up with a dremal doesn't mean its not modded. Bottom line is Bryce I realized you are NOT a good team driver and had to terminate your sponsorship just as i would anyone else who breached their contract.

joe in bcarters defense all he did was ask a question which is very fair. also is ebmods doing all your lightening or port work?? i can call ed if you have your work done with him to confirm work so you dont have to send pics...

bcarter in joes defense taking team issues out in a public forum is not right either.. please do that in private messages..

EBMods does all the work in house, they are EBMods engines.. I'm an employee of EBMods. I agree that if Bryce was a average customer there is NOTHING wrong with his post.. BUT due to his contract with EBMods he is obligated to contact US for any question and or issues with his equipment. Not that we're trying to hide anything but this is why we have team drivers, for 1 to help make the products look good, but to also give us feedback to help evolve our products.. those are the 2 main obligations for team guys amongst many others.

I'm sure that wont be the last ignorant post from a EX team driver as the end of every quarter the team is reviewed and the end of this quarter there WILL be more cuts.

and with cuts comes adds, so get in them resumes boys!

So far my engines have been great. Will be doing a little more testing next weekend with a completely new buggy to me. I will be trying different pipes, and restrictors in the motors too, to see if I can get just the right feel for my driving style. Try to find the balance point of power and runtime.
2 weeks later is the RC Pro series race #1 down here in the south east.
