Hi Monty,

I just wanted to say it was great meeting you on the weekend, and thanks for coming up to Canada to race. It was great having you there. I saw you helping people tune there engines all weekend ( which is why I didn't want to bother you with mine..lol)

I wish I could have taken your engine tuning clinic.

You drove great all weekend.

Thanks again for making the trip north.

My highlight of the weekend was helping all the guys out with their engines and hoping they had a lil better understanding for tuning a nitro engine afterwards

Big thanks to Rui "the import" Almeida , Kijana "the announcer" Crichton (kgombe) and the oh so many guys that were very accepting of my help

CANADA EH!!

I did introduce myself. Very briefly in passing on the stairs.

I'm sure you would have helped, but you had your hands full all weekend. My RB Kanai edition is only 25ish tanks old and was just going to see if you could look at it and AK some questions. Doesn't have much top or bottom. Was told its too new. Comes off at 235*

Thats scary, I just bought Monty's Kanai RB engine I am sure it is in the tune and I bet Monty can help. Take a video of it for him to look at. Monty used to watch my videos and tell me what was wrong or write. He really is a great guy. Hoping to come to the race in Washington the last part of July. God knows I can use some of his tuning help but I have gotten better with the nova carbs, getting a constant high 9 minute run time with crap fuel in Vietnam when the locals and their OS speeds are lucky to get mid 8 minute runs

I know it's the tune. There was another Kanai motor there with a couple gallons on it and it was running great.

Yeah, mine was running great. No one was leaving me behind on the huge straight. I remember mine felt under-powered last year to. This engine needs about a gallon and an half for it to finally wake up. It's my first nitro engine so I wish I could offer you more advise, I think I just got lucky with my tune. Take your time with it Jamie, it'll come around.

Hi Scott

Ya, I know I need to give it time. It's just hard to do....lol

I put a few more tanks through it yesterday and leaned it out just a bit. The result was nice. I don't think I'll lean it out any more for a bit. Just going to put fuel through it. I figure I have about a gallon to go yet....lol
