Block off one of the fuel lines. Then, completely Submerge the whole tank in water and blow into the line that was not blocked off. This works best if tank is empty. If you see bubbles then you got a leaky tank.

Some tanks will have internal problems that are undetected by this method ;)

Sounds like inconsitent fuel pressure though

X2 Not always a Lid or Nipple leak, Sometimes its the pickup itself Inside the tank itself.

PS way to mess up the quote monty

You could manually pump the fuel out of the tank and see if any air pockets are created in fuel line. Mugen tanks at notorious for broken/cracked fuel pickups. I own a mugen and just modified the tank to accept a clunk system. I haven't had any issues since the clunk mod. Just trying to help.

That's pretty rare but possible

I have a Hotmods N21R, which I love but its getting old. I am looking for its replacement once it dies. Should just get a x3 or rebuild it with a new r7 rod and plus 4 crank and ceramic bearings? Maybe drop in a X3 piston and sleeve with a turbo plug?

I would just pick up a new X3 personally, cheaper than a rebuild
