hey Houston,
i just got my N21R-BF. its just passed break-in. after i left off the throttle after a pass, it hangs high for a second or two then drops to idle. i richened the lsn, with no effect. i'm not too sure what to do next... |

factory on the n21r carb is 5 turns out on low speed ( pull slide barrel out , run screw in until it just stops , then backout to desired setting ) , high speed needle 4.25 turns out , idle 1.25 out from just closed .
race settings are usually around 3.75 turns on low speed , 3.5 turns out on high speed , 1turn out from just closed on idle screw . any Q's just let me know ;) are the needle settings the same for the n21r and n21r-bf engine's? my lsn was too lean...3.5 turns out. guess i didnt go rich enough. i'll try these settings. |

houston is the Novarossi 41021 short the same run style as the Novarossi 41029 Short Compact, i will be running it on a mbx6t with the fms with a 9853 pipe? or should i be looking at some thing different.

The only thing is you don't really need the compact header for the mugen truck but it is kind of a must for the buggy . I have been preferring the 2084ss over the 9853ss for overall runtime/power . The 9853ss def. Makes more power though ;) |
houston where do you race at?

Hi Monty,
I need your help. I am confused on the correct HSN setting for my Plus-21C. If you go to the Novarossi web site and watch the video clip of Adam Drake on tuning he states that a good starting point for a “race tune” for the HSN on the Plus 21 is “flush to a 1/4 to ˝ turn in. If you use the “factory setting “ of 3.5 turns out as a base line, it is a long way from flush! Is a “race tune” that far from the “factory setting” of 3.5? Every time I try to lean out the HSN that much, the temps shoot up. I have never gotten close to a HSN of flush. Granted, the engine is still fairly new. Maybe close to 2 gallons at the most. There is still a slight mechanical pinch. I use Byron’s 25%, O’Donnell T98 plug, and a 6.5 card insert. You thoughts would be appreciated! Maybe I am just over analyzing things! |

Hey houston, do you have an FMS that you can ship out on Friday? PM sent about it.
