its not vapor locked its that the piston/sleeve fit is still very tight :)

We get em to 200 before starting & preheat chassis, it turns over fine I have to cover ex. to push extra fresh fuel in seems like vapor lock@ carb. We got about 1/2 gals through them so far.

Hmmmm, hold carb open , blow into pressure line until fuel goes into carb with out air bubbles ( do this after preheating) , that's also a sign of low tank pressure ;)

Tip , if you have to loosen glow plug to turn engine over , engine is not preheated enough;)

TommyBlazin 07-02-2010 01:29 AM

ok now im TOTALLY confused, went on novarossi usa...they dont even recommend the 9901ss pipe NOR the header im usuing, they recommend the "NEWER"? 21 Off Road Tuned Pipe with Ring (Polished) EFRA 2084 Extra Thick.

This New Novarossi Pipe resembles the 51016 (EFRA9901) Pipe but has better mid & top end power, and better fuel economy.

and NOV41021 for header, dont recommend what i have in any type of combo, low end high end etc...am i going to have to buy another pipe set here?motors still not broken in so i cannot gauge performance yet, although i LOVE THE WAY SHES ACTING THUS FAR...the specs on that other pipe, and header make sense...there saying it has better mid AND top AND better fuel mileage? question is, why WOULDNT i use that combo?

RUNNINONMT 07-02-2010 02:17 AM

they recommend that for midified engine? or are you using a pipe combo that houston recommended?

well yes and yes..they recommend it for the 4c-team...wich is tuned, wich i have, and its also hes tuned...monty lists it as a truggy pipe on his site, so no biggie, its like 5am here,...

2084ss/41021 if you want a touch more mileage and a little less low end , 99853ss/41021 if you want all the balls for TRUGGY !!

Tommy , settle down mr.!! you are good to go , i have done extensive real world testing ;)

Hey Monty, was wondering if a person could put a Turbo head on a JP mod b5? If so how much for the head?
Thanks
Mike

41021 for a little extra low end and 41005 for a smoother low and a little better mid/top .

recommend 41005 for most tracks that arent totally grooved up , 41021 for the "blue groove" tracks ;)
