1.) I am running byrons 20%. How many shims should I use? I have a V-Spec, WS7II, S7 and C6. Saving my money for a new Nova
2.) What is the advantage to running turbo plugs?
3.) What range plug is best for 20% fuel
3.) What makes a crank wear, heat?
4.) How many times can a engine be pinched?

buy a novarossi and you will be happy

turbo plugs have better seal in the plug seat and a better flow of the combustion ball or detonation ball to expell the exhaust faster creating more power

use a hotter plug with lower nitro content but also depends on humidity , altitude and such of your area

shear friction and lack of lubrication
heat will mess up the rod and make it lose its temper
no really the rod will start to lose its temper above 300 or so and you will end up with a broken rod or bushing failure sooner or later
and besides that , think about how much a rod really gets stressed . alot

since you already have the right header i would recommend buying a dynamite 086hs pipe only
you will be happy guaranteed I read in another topic that you like the P5XS as one of your favorite truggy engines. I run that engine in both my buggy and truggy with the Nova 9886 pipe and short header. Is that the pipe your are using in a truggy or should I try a 9856 with the same header for more punch? I also have a longer header. I understand that longer headers will produce better bottom end at the expense of some run time, if that is correct? Also, what carb restrictor would you recommend for the buggy? I'm tying to take some of the power away so I can control it better. I have the stock restrictors in both engines now. How do the L or " ] " shaped headers affect performance and runtime? The only pipe I ran with that type or shape of header was the OS T-2050 on a V-Spec which hit pretty hard in the middle. Is that a characteristic of this type of header shape? Thanks. You said to ask questions and I usually have a lot of them.

try a plus 21-5(plus4) in the buggy , much smoother
you can use restrictors to gain runtime but some designs of engines actually gain power from smaller res. as it creates a better air/fuel mixture
i usually leave the 8mm in unless i need some runtime btw , i still need parts

Monty is the most helpful guy I have ever met at the track, almost to the point that he scraps his own races to help people out
oh ya thanks again for the last minute battery pack that was charged and ready that you just happen to have in your pocket last year. If I was only fast enough to need a faster motor
you would be the man I would ask. See you soon buddy!
