I'll say i considered them when they first released the Alpha line, but I dont like being a guineau pig.. I pretty well planned on running the Orion line for next season, before the Worlds. I am a little concerned because Jared and Cody both were pitting at 7 minutes almost exaclty.. I was expecting much closer to 10 then that..

i asked for a run time and no one replied back. Maybe the run time isn't that great.

Your second part is right but the power band is great though.

remember that run time changes in Humid conditions like that, There were a few guys trying to run the gauntlet, which cost them in the end (maifeld for e.g)

I understand, that weather is a huge factor in tuning, and all factors fo these little screamin meanies.. I've seen Jared race in KC at Real-R/C and he gets good mileage, I think 8 or 9 minutes stops in sept.. I guess I was just worried since they pitted so soon, but everyone was coming in at 7-8 minutes..

I noticed Hara, with the OS, pitted one less time.. He was doing a 8-9 minute pit strategy, one reason why he fell off in the middle of the race..

what motor was cody running?

Orion Alpha CRF 3-port, I am almost positive.. But, wait until Pitpop gets back home then he'll let us know for sure..

looks like he was using a discovery. the case in some of the pics look gray not black

I thought they all use the CRF alpha 7 port?? That is the engine that JAred won the ROAR 2010 truggy and buggy nats with was their crf alpha 7 port. PArt # is ORI80656 or ORI80672 with pipe. I just assumed they were using this motor again for the IFMAR worlds. I thought the discovery was a step down from their all out racing engines?

New prototype case....not a Discovery engine.

He runs ABI 3 port I do believe but I guess we will never really know for sure what's really inside.

Orion's new 5 port crf. The cyl head is diffirent from the 3 port.

Anyone know when will the new crf alpha 3port and 5port engines be available?

They are on team orions web-site but could not find them on amain or anywhere else for sale.
