I need new bearings but the ORION brand is ridiculous!! I would like to run ceramics if possible and I also need an alternative rod?? Invision I heard drops right in on the rod part?? Anyways, all help appreciated...btw .21 CRF Mike Truhe Edition
|
You can probably just get some TKO's for the bearings, the Orion bearing prices are insane. I believe you may also be able to get some Nvision bearings for cheaper, that are the same as the stockers.
I broke in and raced my Orion 3 Port CRF Race this weekend. Very impressed with it. Great power and speed and really smooth. |
Truhe engine
LOSR 1913 P/S RETAIL 129.99
LOSR 1911 Rod RETAIL 69.99 LOSR 1919 Rear bearing (ceramic) RETAIL 79.99 LOSR 1917 Front bearing RETAIL 16.99 These are LOSI part numbers for that engine, Horizon still stocks parts for this engine. Your hobby shop should be able to get these for you at a cheaper price. |
............

And hsn 4 1/2 from closed. |
I was having a bit of trouble tuning my ORI80679 after it had about a gallon though it and decided to take the smallest shim out like some have suggested on here and wow what a difference. Instantly woke up the motor. It idles better tunes easier and runs cooler.

For the Orion 3 port team motor.. 80690. what is a good pipe for that motor.. most power/mileage.
also what kind of run time are you guys getting out of this motor.. i have been trying to decide betweein that motor and the mova PLUS 21-4 thanks alot.. |
2058 for pipe, sometimes on amain the Nvision 2058 can be had for a steal.
I have the Race 3port and 21-4BTT/A. Both are great so far. Have about 4gal on the Nova and it is a great running engine. Real smooth and good runtimes. I have about 1.25 gal on the Orion. Has more power but is not quite as smooth(still smooth though). Run time is similar, I think if i be a lil more ginger on the throttle i may be able to achieve better runtimes with the orion. If i were to buy again, i really dont know which i would get. I dont buy the same motor twice very often. actual runtimes vary, i tune more conservatively than most and get a safe 8min pit out of both depending on track. so probably around 8:45-9min dry. |
tuning video
Hey guys, I know we aren't running Orion any more, but here is a tuning video we did last year before the Worlds.. hope you like it. :)

Thanks.. What's it comparable to?
They're being auctioned off here pretty regularly.. As if it's a sell-off of old stock or something.. |
