Hey guys- Amain should be receiving them tomorrow or monday. I had a shipment sent to them directly from Taiwan. I just checked the tracking number and the amain stuff is going through customs now.
I currently have GX-3Rs and GX-7Rs in stock, plus GX-5Rs are due tomorrow or monday as well (same ship date). If you cannot find the GX series at your LHS here in the US, or at your etailer, please have them send me an email at: [email protected] and I will be glad to get them set up as a dealer. Also, I'm placing orders with the factory twice a month until I'm satisfied with the amount of inventory on-hand. Right now, I pretty much sell out of GX-5Rs by the time I unpack them. So, hence the twice a month order. This is also easier to manage than placing one large order every one or two months. It eats into my margins a bit (shipping, customs, and wire transfer fees), but I'll take the hit to get these things moving. Guys... please be patient, as I'm trying to get this done right! I have no problem getting my hands on GX series line through my dealer, AKA Moto. The problem is the parts. I have a Gen 5 5p and 7p that I need carb o-rings for. I have been unable to locate these seals through any dealer in the US. I'd like to buy my o-rings through my dealer but there on backorder. As for anyone looking for the new motors and most parts, I can tell you that Moto has excellent customer service. The web site you want to create is a very good step in the right direction. In my opinion this will help restore consumer confidence in the US market. Also, find a new IT guy if this one is jerking you around. As an avid Go Tech user I take pride in these engines and recommend them everyone I meet, their quality is second to none. But it’s hard since everyone knows of these distribution problems in the US. I’m looking forward to these improvements. |
I've just picked up a GO GX5R combo set. its had 1/4 or gall through it so its still new. Has anyone got any good tunning and running tips for this motor? is the carb much better than my older 5 port Gen 4 ?
Many thanks |

on 11-26-09. lowlife88 of TNT PRO HOBBIES, an offical GO Engines dealer that is located in the state of Fla., posted a link to his site and said he would help you out. I don't think he is going to hand deliver what you want to buy to you at the airport. But i'm sure he could get the items to you with in a few days of your arrival in Fla.. Here is the link, again, to his web site. http://tntprohobbies.com/ |

Well need a new crank for the MG66.. tried the 808 yesterdayand noticed a lot of end play in the clutch bell so yanked the motor to re-shim it and I found the end of the crank has worn down some. Not surprising considering how many sets of clutch bearings I destroyed last year.Bummer none the less. Oh well not an expensive fix and I will be starting the season with an almost new engine again. Not to mention a lighter car.Hoping the new Ascendancy racing 4 shoe clutch should balance out the wear on both bells and bearings too this year.
have you checked the alignment angle from Bell to Spur? If its not 90 deg you will kill bearings .. Also do you oil the bearings regularly ? a little spray on the bearing every 20 mins should reduce any wear in the clutch bearing |
IMPORTANT
7 Second Pinch tune is devised to get you into the ballpark. The FIRST thing to get right is the IDLE GAP. Then the LSN then the HSN. This should get you into a decent tune pretty quickly. Ok now realise that even 2 identicle cars and set ups will tune differently depending on the driver. Hope this helps :) http://www.massivemods.com.au/produc...0eb547d0d1c1e5 |

Howdy All

The trick with the X-Ray 808 is that the engine sits at an angle to the spur gear, so a square mesh is not possible - close but never square.
Just run the set up with quite a bit of clearance in the mesh and you shouldn´t have a problem. Quite a bit of lash lets the clutch bell sort of float on the angle and doesn´t seem to wear the bearings or gears at all. My Avid Revolutions clutch bearings last just as long as anyone elses bearings with a conventional square mesh. Plus the X-Ray bell bearings being a larger size cuts down on wear too. Could be too much power from the MG66 is the main cause Gizz  |
