Sweet As !!!!
Glad to hear you boys are liking the new motors.
Maximo, your right on with the long needle tuning - it is stupid easy, especially with the new version GX carbs. They do seem to tune, and hold their tune very well. It all revolves around leaving that HSN alone. Once you have run the motor in, set it (barely changes from factory flush setting) and forget it
.
All the new GX range are sweet performers. It seems they have the edge on the older Pro Series out of the box. The 5's and 7's are killer, plus the 3 is a sleeper. Don't be fooled by the humble 3 Port, they are a weapon with the right clutch set up

The GX7R we are running is only about 12 tanks into its life, its still very tight and nowhere near its peak yet, but even still its tuning great and making ridiculous power... The bottom end is strong, much stronger then a V-Spec and the top end is very much like my modified C6, its absolutely snarly sounding on the top end... With the long needle it has a very smooth trigger feel and gives you great control over how much power it unleashes.. So it can be driven slow and smooth very well...... I have altered exhaust port timing and angle and volume, as well as altered boost port timing and angle, as well as angle and timing on parts of the transfer ports.... The results are awesome if I do say so myself.... I can hardly wait to up the compression and fully tune it in, hopefully the weather holds and I can knock more pinch out of it and shoot a video...this is a very impressive engine to say the least....

Yep. I followed that with my MG66 & found it quite easy. And as said earlier, 13 minute run times with a 6.5mm restrictor & Amain C2 Blue Dot. No Flame outs. No Blown plugs. Holds the tune all day. TONNES of power. No Problems!
What more can you ask for!
Pete.

In theory pinching further away shouldnt make a difference but it may so in order to keep the tuning uniform keep it 1 cm away .

Good Day-
I am in need of some pieces to rebuild my Gen 5.5 5port - as I understand it the new GX pieces will fit - who here in the states is caring the crank/rod/pin and such pieces I am looking for and for what prices?
I see 22Racer is a dealer but has no website in his sig -
Ruune is the US dist with one page website - be nice if there were some links to US dealers or a list of them somewhere - and please don't take that as a knock, it is more of an observation -
Thanks -
