did yo have some made or get a differnat one ..?

i have been using the 6.5 but would like to get some 6mm inserts

I made my own insert, maybe I'll make a some more. We were at the x-Fest it has a loamy surface and lap times are over 50 seconds so it's easy to run out of fuel. I still had to keep the temps up to 250 to get good mileage but it made great power.
I want to try a 5.5 w/ a exhaust reducer and a stinger reducer next weekend.

hi guys,

i was running my go 5 port last weekend at the qualifiers seems to be running pretty good, to much fish tailing but it was fun need to learn throttle control  anyhow at the mains it started just fine and running strong ath the 4 min time( 20min main) motor quit at first i though I ran out of fuel already but it was not the case, started it up again and it quit after several laps, refueled and change glow plug it did cut out again and again so I decided that was it for the day. I did shorten the LSN like grizz suggested and my needles are 1.5 high and about 2.5 LSN. Then next day just around the drivewayjust testing was is going on with it change plug airfilter and still cutting itself out specially on wot richen the HS to about .5 from flush same thing any suggestion?

thanks

sounds like you have an air leak.Either around carb or carb needles or back plate.

mattwoodcraft 09-08-2009 08:34 AM

yea mate i think i will have to agree it does sound like an air leak , i have tried the shorter needles but IMO prefer the longer needle on the lsp , on and around the carb where it seals to the crank case i use 2 orings ,

Hi all!

I was just wondering if someone could tell me how to remove the carby form my go 3ptR. I completely removed the screw that hold the carby but it wont move.

Also how many shims do you suggest for 25% and 30% nitro?

Thanks!

you need to check head clearence i am not sure for the 3p r motor
but to remove the carb you have to just get it unstuck i use a wash cloth and then grip it with some plires and twist and pull.

Loosen the pinch bolt screw a couple turns, lightly tap on the screw until it pushes the pinch nut out the other side, take all the way out. Turn the carb the direction that the remaining part of the pinch bolt is. (if it's on the right turn the carb right) it should break loose fairly easy, be careful not to overtighten when putting back together.

For 30% I use one silver and one thin brass shim, they come with 2 brass. You have to be very careful not to get dirt in the motor when taking the head off.
