I also have the same set up and last 10mins plus on my D8T truggy
the 7 port is a beast, lots of power and very smooth with the 053 I also have a EBMOD 5 port with 086 and it is crisp but will only go 8 mins |
Thanks for the info Grizz!

Yes the 5 port doesnt get as much runtime as the 7 and mine is modded too. I am havint trouble of too much power though and I am trying to find like a 5.5 or 5 mm restricter I am already running all carbon shoes and 1.0 springs. the smaller venturi should help alittle in both areas. I cant wait to see what kinda time the Powerhouse 3 port is gonna give.

I was practicing at the track today and timed a couple of tanks at race pace. I ran out of fuel on the track at 12:15. MMods Stage 5 5 Port running 6.5 restrictor, 0801 pipe. 3 x alloy shoes with 2 x 1.1mm springs and 1 x 1mm spring. It was very cold here today, so air was dense and motor was a fraction richer than it would be on a warm day. I would think you should definitely be getting more than 8 min or so out of a 5 port, modded or stock. |
yes more than 8 mins can be done but I was still getting used to the EBmod 5and just ran it 3 times when it just stopped so will have ed check it out
I am very happy with my stock 7 port though I will try the fioroni adjustable clutch with the buggy and the 7 port and see how it goes |

I think you misunderstood the analogy . my point is that heat is created best when an engine is under load. not idle on the bench.

i don't know if this specifically has been asked on here. I know many head that fit Novarossi 21 motors will fit the Go 21s, but will this specific head fit?

Just wondering if when you are running a Losi clutch setup with a GO TECH, is the GO TECH flywheel collet required? I ran it with the Losi flywheel collet and it seemed to be short.. It put alot of stress on the clutch bell...I switched motors and it seemed to back out all the engine mount screws that where blue loctided..from the off set clutch bell to Spur gear..Meash was fine, the spur was way forward..

Sure if I am easy on throttle I can get 8 mins. I just want more than that I want 3 or 7 port run times. I have my throttle throw on my radio at like 65% 1.'s and all carbons because this mill really is too much for where I run. Once I get this Powerhouse 3 port going I will put the 5 away till I go truggy again later on. I want to try a smaller restricter like a 5mm in it and put the radio back to full throw and see what times I can get with it then. I run mostly against EBM5's 7 ports V-specs and GRP's and have no problem keeping up on the straight even with limited throw. I could lean it more too but I like it coming off where it is which is like 215. And the set of TKO's are working just fine, idle seems better I actually had to turn it down a bit since I put them in.

Also check for the bottom of the block touching the chassis and the mounts sometimes need a bevel so they don't hit the block under the mounting tab. Rex |

With a Losi clutch alaways use a Losi collet, it has a different taper. I usually use a small washer behind the collett.

regardless of the one peice engine mount you can only use the losi collets
if you ever change to a 3 shoe clutch you can use the normal size collet but remember you still have to use the losi clutch bell |
