I just put a TKO rear bearing and a fresh front bearing in a 7 port I am rebuilding and now when I put the crank in it is a little hard to turn. The rear bearing seems to be seated all the way back. Is it possible I messed up the race? It spins freely without the crank in. This was the first time I replaced a rear bearing. I heated the motor and used a wooden dowel and a small hammer to tap in the bearing. It did not go in easy. (new case) Any suggestions?

you can get a a good ofna bearing puller and installer from Amain about $55 i think as long you use heat when removing the bearings the tool will be good i like it very much better then $300

i am going to replace the bearings in my 3pt tomorrow, i don't have a heat gun with me, can i put the case in the oven and heat that way? what sort of temp and how long should i leave it in for?
|
crank the ovan full bore heat once at operating temp put in there for 20 mins and your bearings will just fall out , you shouldnt have to nock the new in but sometimes the old ones get stuck just remember to remove all your orings or you may not have any left :D its easy i have done it this way many times get a set of good thick gloves mate bloody hot

Ive heard that when putting new bearings in a motor you can put the bearings in the freezer for a bit while you are heating up the block and when the block is up to temp you can put the frozen bearings in and they will fall right in. Is this true ?

Rex Engines USA importer as a distributor? If so, when will you have any GO engine parts in stock? I know that some of your loyal customers have been waiting on engine parts since April. Not to mention about some who may have pre-paid deposits on the engines that Russel was going to get in a few months ago. Wheew! I'm glad I didn't get in on that deal. |

Hey Rex, Are you signed up with the new GO

We took care of any money down on preordered engines, no one lost anything.;) I have a big order in with Trey on parts and Gx motors, I can get a couple Mg66 also if someone wants one. I am not sure how long it will take to get parts from the factory but it sounds like he will be ordering monthly instead of every few months. Rex |
Hey guys... just to chime in here- I'll be placing my order in with massivemods and Go, the 2nd half of next week. That'll give the dealers time to get situated, and also allow myself some time to get the website up, create easier to read price lists specific to the GX line, and to get my forums going.
For all of you team drivers- I will be expecting you to post setups, tips, etc, and provide help to customers via the the forums that will be on the USA site. I feel that this will facilitate communication between customers and GO as a whole. In addition, it will help facilitate communication between us and the factory, and provide valuable driver feedback that we can use to make the product better. Also, I do plan on doing a monthly inventory refresh... so if I'm out of something, customers (and dealers) wont be left hanging for months at a time. One last thing- I'll be placing an order with Massive Mods here shortly (next week, probably 1st half). Right now, I'm doing a small order. Rex has expressed interest carrying the line, and Mark (from Massive Mods) is telling me that there is a huge demand over here. So, if you guys want these, let Max or your LHS know!!! These things are BEASTS and I'm itching to get some stateside! |
