Hmm - you have left me wondering guys.
Jason, I have a 5 Port (soon to be turbo head) in my buggy with a Dynamite 086 fitted. Allowing for the cost factor, do you think it would be worth while changing this to the new GO 2047, or is the performance so close it wouldn't matter ?

Thanks Mark, I will have to think about which pipe to get. Truggy on pretty tight lay outs with Turbo 5 Port - I am leaning LRP way. I have seen two different pics of the LRP 2063 pipe so perhaps you could confirm for me - does it have a re-inforced stinger ?

Sorry to be buggin you guys with so many questions, but I want to get the best set up possible first time around for both my rides. Plus I don't think the other half will put up with too much more expenditure on my "toys"
Thanks - grizz

PS: Retro - good luck at the nationals mate. I hope to get down to Hamilton for a look at the finals on Sunday if everything goes to plan.

hey grizz if you manage to get down to the Nats over the weekend come and see me I've got a spare HN 2047 you can give a try( slightly dented but it'll give you an idea of the performance anyway)

you'll be able to find me pretty easy I'm sure:lol:

Thanks

the Go engines come shimmed for 30% fuel from the factory...

hansarvin 12-12-2007 05:13 PM

From what I've heard they are shimmed from the factory for 30%, Brian correct me if I'm wrong.

ok no problem...from the factory there is one 0.1mm and one 0.2mm shim installed...

rossoh10 12-12-2007 05:47 PM

Thanks.....Would it be ok to run it on 30% with just the 0.2mm shim in..It has between 1.5 to 2 gallons on it,or do I need to get a 0.1mm shim to

Haha my fat fingers were too slow in typing, I was typing it at the same time you were.

mugenb46 12-12-2007 06:26 PM

I would stick with the .01 and .02 shims, i have played with squish and like the stock setting the most, playing with angles right now:nod:

satoch 12-12-2007 06:47 PM

I doubt the 5 and 7 ports are different than the 3 ports in regards to squish.

I'm running a turbo button on both my 5 port and my sport 3 port. After about a gallon of break-in using the Adam Drake method, and an additional race weekend, on the 3 port I've gone from the stock .30mm to .21mm. I do use a cooler plug than the OS P3 however. It's the Merlin Glow Plugs EHD #5 turbo. I've got no problems and I'm getting longer run time now.

rossoh10 12-12-2007 11:22 PM

How come the carbs neck is plastic with a metal sleeve over it........This is the reason why my carb is able to turn when the pinch bolt is pinched tight.....The metal sleeve stay`s in place and the carb neck turns inside.....Is there another carb that will fit the go or do I need just to buy another GO carb
