perhaps, you might want to check if the 2 speed shaft is straight?
does the 2nd shoe rub against the rear bulkhead?

Seems a good deal at first looks, if the engine is on good condition and the car the same. Just ask for some extra photos to the owner and see the condition of something (front bumper, end of the outdrives, pulleys, etc... to see if the car has been abused and received crashes).

Very good point! just another input, see if you can ask for more images on the front oneway outdrive, usually if the car is abused or been running much longer then advertized the front oneway outdrive will wear and you can actually see an indention on the outdrive itself!

how long have you been using the 2 speed clutch with out rebuild it?

it is possible that the flat spot on the 2speed clutch adaptor has worn out unevenly that makes the clutch shoes not able to return to its unengaged position.

Hi Guys,

Need your input on this.

Is there a big advantage of using a floating rear body mount on a lola body as oppose to the stock rear body mount on the MTX-3?

I would like to run a lola body on my MTX-3.

Thank you.

With a high downforce body like the lola is DESIRABLE to use the floating body mount, because all the downforce created by the body is transferred to the rear wheels rather than applying the downforce to the rear suspension and compressing it making it bottom out on some situations.

A floating body mount isn't officially available for the MTX3, instead you can use the parts from a V-one RR and put into your car, some modifications and dremeling is in order to do, probably any other here can give you more info regarding this.

Used sometimes the Lola body with the stock body mounts, isn't the best, but at least you can notice a little how handles the car. Another benefit of the floating body mount is to keep the body at a given height allowing the car to move under it without disturbing the height of the body (hence here their name of floating body mount).

Hi Corse-R,

Thank you for the explaination!! Will try the lola first on the stock mount than modify the car for the floating mount.

Default Red clutch shoe (H0769)

Anyone has tested it and compared with the Delta red shoe? Are the same or different?

mtx3racer,

Why don't you just get a new two speed assembly? I"ve never had that problem before. Plus, I guess you don't have to worry about it since you are sellling your car?
